Match Thread: Final, Ireland Tri-Nation Series at Dublin, May 17 2019, BD vs WI
Match Thread: Final, Ireland Tri-Nation Series at Dublin, May 17 2019 - BD vs WI
Date & Time: May 17, 10:45 AM LOCAL, 09:45 AM GMT
So close, yet so far again?
Remember - We never won a Tri-Nation series or any major tournament before, for so many times we were "so close yet so far". This is another day, another chance
Headlines:
1. Bangladesh potentially without Shakib for final
2. A back injury has kept John Campbell away from the action since his 179 vs IRE
3. West Indies are likely to bring back Shannon Gabriel in place of Raymon Reifer.
Weather:
1. The weather meanwhile seems clear with a hint of rain in the forecast in the evening.
2.There could be brief spells of showers, hence the probability of losing overs is quite high

Not taking the guy who got a 5 for in the last match is beyond me! Shakib’s presence will be missed.

So Mosaddek the part timer is considered like an all rounder in the team

Is this pitch difficult to bat on? Very strange start from the Windies!

Considering WI weakness on spin there is probably no other better option than Mosaddek in the team.

This is not due to WI weakness only, Mosaddek is considered a replacement for Shakib in the world cup squad as well even though he is a part timer at best with no track record of being an all rounder in domestics. They even think of him as a lower order pinch hitter.
They should consider Miraz or Saifuddin as the all rounder replacement for Shakib and then pick the squad accordingly to fill the gaps

This is the only "so close yet so far" I dont care about..tbh I would take a loss today if it means a win vs WI in the WC
Then again this is the perfect opportunity to shed the ghost of lossing finals

Bismillah. May Allah protect our Tigers.
Saifuddin getting destroyed with the new ball. I think he does better with the older ball

mosaddek for sakib is understandable, we dont have any other choice. but why was liton not picked today and they are playing sabbir? we have enough experience in middle order and 7 batsman, but we need firepower in top. also rubel for saifuddin anyday. rubel is the only real quick we got and he has variation.
