Looks like we got a free pass for being the hosts.

Panesar urinated on the club bouncers

Monty Panesar has been fined by police after urinating on nightclub bouncers who ejected him from a club in Brighton in the early hours of Monday.

Panesar, the left-arm spinner who was included in the England squad for the third Investec Ashes Test, was reportedly asked to leave the beachfront club, Shooshh, after a group of women complained that he was bothering them. Panesar, who had been part of the Sussex team defeated by Derbyshire in three days in a match that ended on Sunday, then walked up to the promenade above the club and urinated on the bouncers.

that's just too funny. Also Monty Panesar? I'd never expect this from him. He must've been drunk outta his mind to do some wild stuff like that.

ICC confirms Hot Spot inventor concerns

Remove protective coating for Hot Spot - Brennan

An interesting scenario. On might argue that taping the edges or coating the surface of a bat is a practice that is as old as the game itself, and it is the technology that should not have been implemented if it has such a glaring shortcoming. On the other hand, the current international players have sponsors for their bats, and at least a dozen of them at their disposal at any time. So taping or coating to increase the longevity isn't really required in the modern game.

The real question is, however, what other 'sacrifices' the cricketers and to some extent, the game have to make for the 'betterment' of it.
