Arnob, LRB, James and Tahsan are quite popular, while bands like Artcell, warfez has developed a cult following among Rock/Metal lovers but are largely unknown to masses. I personally like and listen to BD progressive and alternative rock bands a lot, far better than overrated Pakistani ones.

It was usually this time during the year they would hold all these band concerts.
I remember the peak during 1997/1998 when there would be a concert each weekend at the Mohila Complex in Dhanmondi. Good times were rolling in BD then.
On another note, I met this guy from Assam in the UK. He told me that his mates all loved the main BD bands. Alot of these songs were sung at get together and functions as well. Ironically I had to tell him how in our events and functions it was Hindi music that was mostly played.
Ayub bachu does not get much credit for his guitar work. He is actually one of the best guitarist in the country. His guitar work and skill is amazing. He is no less skilled than Kamal bhai ( ex Warfaze)
In the 90's there was a debate on what "LRB" stands for. We used to think it was "Little River Band". But nowadays the consensus is "Love Runs Blind"...
Personally I prefer the former.

Ha ha ha... good one... When Bangladesh were playing ICC knock out I think the anthem was LRB's Bangladesh (unplugged) . Who knew that there would be alot of heart break since then.

The Aussie band had this amazing song which I put on a mix tape from Kabir Bhai's Rainbow > I heard it from this show on BTV called Sword of Honour.

I started visiting his place in the 90s. There was Soor Bichitra down the road who did it for 5 taka less but Kabir’s work was so much better. You could see him, long haired hippie with large headphones and smoking. Good times!
