We need taller bowlers

We have different perceptions about height.

But Pathan is cited to be 6 ft 1 and some Indian sites like rediff.com mentioned that he is 6 ft 2 and had modelling offers as well because of his height and eyes. Anyway Waqar is a different story .... if any of our BD bowlers can reverse swing the ball or bowl inswinging yorkers like Waqar then height would not be a concern.

Reverse swinging the ball at 85 mph will get wickets in any day. Anyway Zaheer khan is 6 ft. Brett Lee is 6 ft 2 as they say but so is Kasparwich. They say that Shaun Tait is 6 ft 3 in Australia. Anyway Shoaib and Sami are express and mashrafe or any other bowler would have been as effective had they been that quick.

BD newspapers say that Shafaq Al Jabir is 6 ft 4 but then again if he bowls like Zoysa who is 6 ft 7 but bowls at 120 km/h - 125 km/h he will be smashed all over the park.

If he can bowl at 130 km/h then we must have him in the team.

Tapash and Nazmul are in the same bracket. None of the are fast enough to get wickets against good teams like England. We need to remember that England is the best team we have played recently and given that .. the bowlers who failed to create an impression should not be taken into consideration and BD A team's recent trip should be taken into account.

Pakistani bowlers are quicker and that's the reason they are effective. We can think of Gillespie and Kasparwich being not so effective against England and they are not the first choice bowlers anymore whereas Shaun tait despite his no balls and Brett Lee due to his pace are the automatic choice including fit/unfit Mcgrath.

Mcgrath, Harmison, Flintoff due to their heights can cause discomfort to the batsmen with their rising deliveries but our bowlers cant do that.

More than anything we need to back bowlers like Shahadat .... quick and therefore has more chance of getting wickets consistently.

I would like to see Shahadat being chosen for the test team.
