tough to rate tamim Vs ash for talent, but i reckon ash has the better hand-eye ala sehwag.

Ashes main problem is mindset and maturity. As people get older they become mature and their mindset also improves. So I hope and I have a feeling that Ash will show some improvement in his consistency.

I think everything depends on how you define talent, if temperament and shot selection is part of talent, then Ashraful cannot be the best batsman we ever produced.
However, Ashraful's ability to dominate an opposition is unparalleled. His 158 against India has to be one of the best innings I ever saw.

Nothing happens abruptly. If we expect Ash to average 50 over the next year, then we will most likely be disappointed. 35 average is a reasonable expectation that I have out of him for the remaining tests in 2013.

If something in BD cricket hasn't improve that is Ashraful and his brain fart !!! BD cricket is improving but Ash is still the same Ash who scored that magical century in Cardiff and then faded away and then he shines and fades again and it continues.........
If you consider Ash has improved then you will have to admit the team BD has improved as well. It just depends on how you define improvement.

I think if Ash wasn't run out in the 2nd inning of the 1st test, he could've continued his good form in the 2nd test. That guy is so low in confidence is that any low score dips his confidence to the Pacific's abyss. Hope the change of format brings him back for the sake of Bangladesh.
