Default Exhibition T20I | May 31 | WIndies vs World XI at Lords: to help fund WI stadiums

Tamim back in Lords again.

Shakib is also in.

The West Indies team is full strength headed by Brathwaite:

Samuel Badree, Carlos Brathwaite (capt), Rayad Emrit, Andre Fletcher, Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Ashley Nurse, Keemo Paul, Rovman Powell, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Kesrick Williams

This should be an exciting encounter.

I miss the Asia vs World XI games.. imagine if it took place now!

Asia XI would look like this:

Tamim
Rohit
Kohli (c)
Babar
Mushy(wk)
Shakib
Thisara
Ashwin
Rashid
Amir
Bumrah

and World XI something like,

Amla
Finch
Root (c)
Taylor
AB
Bairstow (wk)
Adil
Rabada
Starc
Hazzlewood
Boult

should be a cracker

Perera
B Kumar
Mujeeb
Hasan Ali
Fizz

Rashid #12.

Gayle
Amla
Warner
Root
Williamson (c)
Smith
De Kock (w)
Holder
Starc
Rabada
Boult

Maxwell #12.

Not a bad lineup.. but Tamim averaging 69 in last one year certainly makes the XI before Pererra and Mujeeb is way too early in my opinion. And I left Warner and Smith out. Otherwise obviously they would be replacing Finch and Taylor

I know right. Since Narine is not a contracted Windies player, he can't play. This match holds T20I status.

Won't pay their players a good wage, yet expects full domestic cricket commitments. Is it possible there is a board more incompetent than BCB?

No, but he played in the regional Super 50 (don't know how this qualifies him to play T20Is, probably it's because Windies contracts are categorized as follows: all formats, red ball, white ball).

This makes him a candidate for selection to the national tean.

It's simple. All he had to do was made a commitment (play in the domestic competition), and he'd be selected.

Trinis, I tell yah.

Furthermore, look at Ramdin. He made the right decision, and he played on the domestic competition. He was selected for the Pakistan series, and impressed.

Now looks like he's gonna have a revival of his career. Great move from him.

*I'm for the right path. I'm not against all the trinis*

it'll be a great shame if russle narine pollard bravo etc are selected to play for WI in the coming WC after skiping the qualifiers

they left WI hanging and don't deserve to play in the WC. go play IPL and BBL
