If anyone had any doubts...Ian Pont has had a huge impact on our pacers during his time here. If only BCB would invest further

Brothers, very well done and this is your time to enjoy the moment! Bangladesh cricket has arrived in the limited form of the game. The past is forgotten and the future is full of optimism.

Many congratulations to the players. This was a team performance and making the best out the resources available to put together a victorious game plan. Good captaincy too. The quarter-final place is well deserved. Now it the moment to enjoy. From tomorrow, the work begins on how to put together a team performance against mighty India. Beating England was always going to be possible. Now is the time to concentrate on taking on the really big scalps. A good performance is needed against New Zealand, but beating India should be the goal.

England, woeful, lacking in confidence and the team management carrying too many individuals who lack any imagination. This would be a wonderful opportunity to let go of Peter Moores, Paul Downton and James Whittaker. Moores is just out of his depth at this level and lacks and many management skills. Paul Downton, who is supposedly such a staunch supporter of the England team had signed up for play for the rebel tours in South Africa during the apartied era - a man who is more motivated by money than loyalty. James Whittaker, that former Leicestershire batsman of limited talent and ability who is well suited to the county management, but not team England. In terms of players, Stuart Broad and the dissenters who hold too much sway in the dressing room needs to be put in their place. KP was sacrificed and his place in the team needs to be reconsidered.
