Default shahid relax bro :)

I seem to detect a hostile undertone towards James...dude! may be i am imagining things..but take a chill pill ok?....no one is targetting Indians....Shoikoth for sure ain't no Indian....If I got him right...he won't be caught dead near anything remotely Indian...
I understand your sympathies towards Indians since you live in that country and thats only natural but relax!!! its ok

pompous bro, i am not hostile towards anyone. i appreciated these resarching skills of James90. about indians, i have some symphathy for them. i might be the only BDi who agree with amit that "Indians are Tigers" but i like all BDis do not agree with amit when he says that "BD would never ever beat India". i say that BD would beat india in this tri-series atleast once.

i have no fight with james, i just appreciated his resarch skills.

about amit, i think that he is not a bad guy at all. he has posted all correct posts. the real villians are our cricket team who do not perform well and create guys like amit. he has had some meaningful posts too and i think that he can be made a bangladesh fan easily. he has had some helpful posts too and wished us good luck to beat sa and be a great team in the future.

Shahid, please don't reply to this. We got the point about both James and Amit. Tehsin bhai was saying the other day that Ehsan and you are like twins. I have to agree with him. You guys have the same problem, neither of you know when the hell to shut up. Just read how many times you have written that James is a good researcher. Its like a broken record. We got it. You guys mean well but both of you go on and on and on when you would be better served to just stop and let things be. Like I wrote to you both in another thread, try to enjoy yourselves without getting on other peoples cases. If you like what someone else has posted, just say something like 'good post' or 'nicely put' like everyone else does on the board.

Default To everyone in this forum

I am an Indian cricket fan. I didn't make any fun of Bangladesh after my first session where I had 7 posts. I had apologised for that earlier. From my 8th post, when my second session started, I decided to become a bit of a Bangladeshi fan. I just wanted to say that Bangladeshis are Cats whereas Indians are Tigers as I did not like the fact that a team which could not beat even the Associates be called Tigers. I still said that Bangladeshis can be called tigers if they beat Test-Playing nations on a regular basis. The other thing which I said was "Bangladesh would Never Ever beat India" and this is perfectly correct.

I do not know why that Australian, James90 pulled out this post. I was off for few days as I had gone somewhere for camping. I left on 4 night and came back today morning according to Indian time. I never thought that so much fun of me would be made on this forum in my absence.

Only Shahid was the guy who I think didn't make too much fun of me. Maybe he may have done this as he lives in India itself. I did wish ur team GOOD LUCK against SA to win both of those matches and also to develop ur Cricket. I even appreciated ur guys support for ur team. If u read my last 12 posts which I made in 2nd session in this forum, u can see that. I wished u goog luck and this is what u give it in return. Even Shahid did make some fun of me as he pulled out all of my earlier posts to make fun of me.

About my earlier posts, I posted only correct facts in them but I apologised if I ever hurt u guys. I generally do make correct predictions as over 90% of my predictions are correct. In this post, I didn't give any chance of BD beating Kenya and that happened. I still gave BD chances of winning an ODI in the 2007 world cup which shows that I still had a bit of hope for Bangladesh.

Now, Replys to all your posts -

Nasif - I am not the "hahaha" guy. I never came as "hahaha" here. After my first 7 posts which I made in feb, I never made any fun of BD at all. I post generally correct posts. I don't know about who is this "hahaha" guy.

Fwullah - About my introduction, I am a 17 year old Indian cricket fan living in New Delhi, India. I am no Bengali Indian.

Mohammad - I do not insult BD. I do not think that BD would be the best team in 5 years. It would take u guys 30 years atleast to do it. Indians would be the greatest now. BD would certainly be better than present by then maybe 6/7th best but not the all best.

Banglatiger84 - India can easily score 500 in 50 overs against the Bangladeshi bowling.

Doorbin - If Bangladeshi fielding were great, why did ur team drop so many catches ?

Sham - U were the 1st guy i picked in this forum. I am no villian as u said in the other post. I myself am trying to become a Bangladeshi fan.

Don't make fun of me in the future and welcome me as an Indian fan here. I can become a Bangladeshi fan too. Am I welcome to this forum now ?

Amit

if u wanna have a logical debate then u shud post stuff that makes sense,

for example saying that india can easily score 500 runs etc etc is useless.

I can post saying bangladesh can bowl india out for 100.

The fact is that india never scored more than 300 sumthing recently, and that too was against namibia who bangladesh trashed 4-1 be4 the world cup.

Admitted india is better than bangladesh right now, by the same standard australia is as much better than india judging by the way they trashed india not once, but twice.

when sri lankans were new comers i am sure that there was some amit or sumone claiming that india can easily score 1000 against sri lanka or that sri lanka can never beat india bla bla,

But we all did see the time when sri lanka trashed india in india.

So just wait and count the days till when bangladesh will trash india in india
and nehra or sumone will start bowling spinners after a bangladeshi batsman smashes him for 30 runs in 1 over.

Default Welcome amit - now that we are being properly introduced

Amit, welcome.

I can guess who is not a Bengali, and in the process of being a Bangladeshi fan, it is logical for me to understand that you would be telling these things since none of the media - International media are generally reported to publish good reports - EVEN WHEN Bangladesh is doing well.

If your intentions are truely as what you say, then try to read the English daily newspapers of Bangladesh on a regular basis like Daily Star, Independent, Nation-Online.

I am just being curious now - Is Sanjay Manjrekar a Delhi born Indian? Or is he a (former) player coming from Mumbai/Bombay? I am asking you this because from what you were soundling like earlier - before posting your replies to these threads (I mean after returning from a 4 night break) I was thinking that you are Manjrekar kind of guy who just loves Kenya and since Bangladesh is a rival to Kenya, so whenever the topic of Kenya comes, the topic of Bangladesh comes easily.

Default Welcome !!!!!!

Amit Welcome to the board. We look forward you to be a Bangladeshi fan. It doesn't matter if you support your country, which obviously every person does. I wanna congratulate you on your teams blazing performance in the World Cup 2003.

I just wanna make you something clear that you are not a villan in this board but you should take care of one thing which is not to criticicize our team. Your team might be better than us but it doesn't allow you to mock our cricket. (Specially when you call us cats)

When India first came to the world cup people didn't even thought that one day they can win the world cup and come in such a strong position and the same case applies to Srilanka.

See Bangladesh is a new team we need sometime which all of our BD fans understand quiet easily. Our team will show up and I think that day is not much far.

Default Amit,

Welcome to our board. We like your entry. We have so many young members out here. Like, I and Ehsan are 18, James is 13, Samia is 15 and now you are 17. It's good to have people from outside too. We already have James90 - Aussie and Wifan - West Indian and now Amit - Indian.

Now, do not criticize our team. I think you won't criticize us. Just don't be one of the anti-BDis. We have lot of them out here.

Default Amit,

Just forget the fact that "BD would never ever beat India". It is going to happen. We saw it with Zimbabwe and Kenya too when you said that "Kenya would never ever beat India". It has happened twice and even this can happen too.

Default Ur replys -

Ehsan - I do not post criticizm always. The only defeat for which i criticized u all was for ur defeat to Canada. Even u called Indians Cats. Now do not call us Indians Cats again. Call Indians Tigers from now.

Thanks for the congratulations and I wish that BD becomes a great team in the near future.

Mohammad - India can score 500 in 50 overs easily against BD and can bowl BD out for less than 50 easily.

Banglatiger84 - We Indians never thought that Sri Lanka cannot beat India. We lost to SL in the very 1st match we played against them and whenever we played against them, we always had that defeat at the back of our minds.

I do not believe that Bangladesh can bowl out India for less than 100. U may bowl out our team but it will be for over 200 and if u do it, we can bowl urs out for less than 50.

Fwullah - I do not understand Bengali. I think most of u know Hindi and English and I know only these 2 languages.

I am no Manjrekar type guy. I support Kenya due to their Indian base. They have 4 Indian-Origin players and have had Indian coaches regularly. It's only natural for Indians to support Kenya. I support both Kenya and Bangladesh equally.

I do not know why this cricket world is so anti-Bangladesh and most of the criticizm comes from India and Australia. When BD wins or throws up a good performance, only no or very little articles are published.

Bangladesh's closest competitors are Nepal and not Kenya and i think that u guys need to know this fact. I am not degrading Bangladeshi cricket or improving the level of Nepalese cricket. Nepal seem to be the closest competitors to BD as -
Both are sub-Continental teams
Both have thrown great performances at the u-19 level
Both of these teams seem to have a Bright future
Both are fast-developing teams.
I don't know how Kenya are the closest competitors of Bangladesh. It will be intresting to see a BD v Nepal match in the Asia cup 2005.

Shahid - U are being too optimistic man. Bangladesh can never ever beat India and u guys should know this fact. India are far better than BD and if u can develop ur cricket, we can develop ours more. Just forget this fact.

Well Amit,

how about Kenya?

How many Indians thought in 1996 that Kenya wud beat india not once but twice?

Yet it happened within 6 years. so did indian cricket not "develop" in that period?

Similarly we hope that Bangladesh wil beat India within 6 years.

There is a very vivid line between cheap and blind patriotism and being practical. The majority of Bangladeshi supporters arent cheap patriots so as to say that bangladesh will never lose to uae or nepal or whoever.

Tehsin bhai, I really don't know what to do with these guys! The meaningless banter continues. India can score 500, Bangladesh will never beat India, No Bangladesh will beat India easilly....... ARRRGH! STOP guys! Is there any point to this? We will just have to wait and see.

If this continues, something drastic will have to be done.

Banglatiger, don't bother with this guy Amit. Like you said yourself, his conclusions are not grounded on any logic or reality. Just ignore his comments.

Amit, this is a Bangladeshi cricket site and here, Bangladesh will always be referred to as the Tigers. Not the Indians. If that offends you, start your own site and call your team whatever the hell you want!

Thats what I am saying. Teenager fan thinking cricket with emotion rather than intelligence.

Someone to claim such absard things is just pathetic and sad.

Default Question??

I saw some games went 50+ overs from the above list. When do they go over 50 overs - I mean under what conditions?

One Day cricket used to be 60 overs a side till about the late 80s. Even in the early 90s, ODIs in England were played over 60 overs a side, then it was reduced to 55 and then 50.

Hey Amit, that's why I gave you a suggestion to read the Bangladeshi English language daily newspapers like Daily Star, Nation-Online and Independent. Daily Star's reports are usually published on Cricinfo, so no need to search for the website of Daily Star, but you can start reading Nation-Online and Independent-Bangladesh.

Default TEHSIN STOP SLEEPING

And please deliver us from this evil!! If you can't then we will have a coup and take over your website, forum, servers, tape backups (if youhave any), CDs - all of your banglacricket assets. We will purge your membership list of all those teenagers who won't be quiet - that goes for Bangladeshi fans, Indian fans, Kenyan fans, whatever. We will hack into your site and shut it down rather than be subject to this day and night.

For the sane people out there - there are certain threads where you know nothing useful is being said. Instead of viewing them and replying to them, why not just ignore them. Let them snowball into a big mountain of drivel, who cares, at least you won't be in it?

I cannot believe the energy we all are putting into Amit. Amit, welcome to the board. I don't care whether you think India will score 500 or 5000 or 50,000 in 50 overs! I think India is way better than Bangladesh, is a solid team, sucks on occasion against the ordinary, has no business being compared to Australia, may one day get beaten by anyone including Bangladesh - what in the world are you guys arguing about?

To the others, why engage in debating the meaningless? Why get bothered if Amit is in an Indian or if a Pakistani comes on and says something similar - like their new team is ready to beat Australia and will score 600 against us. Maybe if we stop letting the fact that he is Indian get under our skin will help us refrain from answering the parts of his statements that are nonsense.

Who cares? Sorry for this long and annoying post, and of course it won't change a thing.

Default Yes it will

I am closing this thread.

Just one thing, Orpheus suggested that ODI's should be shortened further to make cricket more popular. I think he has a point there. Anyway, where did that post go? One of the moderators must have deleted it, but I don't understand why. Anyway, I guess we can start another thread about it. But Orpheus, you are right. Atleast if cricket wants to gain popularity in the US, it will have to be shortened further. Perhaps to 35 overs like you suggested and get the game over with in 4 to 5 hours.
