i'm sure i surprised all with my vote of syed rasel.

in my mind it was a tough choice between rasel and razzak. mash and ash, 2 of my favs, did have their highlights...but their ceilings are higher.

ash needs to repeat his 2004 year where he averaged 40 in Tests to have a shot at this award in my eyes. i am confident that both he and mash will come true to their talent.

voted for rasel because he was never hyped, began the year as a backup, and became our lead strike bowler in ODIs. and he was damn economical as well.

so it was a tough call between rasel or razzak, but rasel was our best cricketer, IMO.

despite Rasel Being my favorite player, i voted for Ashraful, he consistently played excellent knocks including 70 recently against New Zealand...others need i mention? SA scooper, West Indies packer, Bashar Captaincy snacher pretty much sums up his best year...YET!!!

Rasel and Razzak should be tied 2nd place from my point of view, Mashrafee and Al-Hasan third.

Definitely Ashraful, but Rasel comes a close second in my list.
How can anyone not remeber one of his patents 'the Ashraful shot' that mesmerized all his viewers and gave nightmare to the receiving bowlers. Ask Ravi Rampaul if you're not convinced.

Hard to choose between Ash and Rasel. But Ash's test century tilted the balance

if there was a category for the most consistent player of the year: one name only : Syed Rasel...although Razzak's name might appear.

Ashraful deserves this award, not because he is my favourite, but he has performed.
He is well known all over the cricketing world, and that should make Bangladesh proud, even when he does not score, he has that magnetism and aura about him.
