Default Would You see Game Of Throne Movies in 10 years?

This is only for Game of Throne fans both books and the series

My question is suppose GRRM finally releases a dream of spring and we get the ending we deserved. If after that in 10-15 years Hollywood decides to stay true to the books and make some movies would you watch it?

How many Movies do you think it might require be to handle the complex stories of a song of ice and fire?

every time I think about this and the ending It makes my heart boil.

I hope 10 years from now if all of the books in the a song of ice and fire is published they make a remake of GOT. this time totally follow the books as much as possible
I don't think telling the entire story after the books are done is gonna click with me. I would rather much be interested in what goes in other parts of the world. WoW was heading into a nice place with Young Griff...in Essos..and the Real Don Euron (Demi-god, capable of waking up the craken from under the sea...)

The show made a mess out of Euron. He's more maniacal in the books

Same here. Just not my genre. You pay me and still wouldn't watch fantasy genres. Sorry. (I know NW meant it for fans only.)

What a boring lot.
Yeah i think a movie version and perhaps a 3 part trilogy would be pretty cool. I would want guillermo del toro or the russo brothers direct this.

big question is can you do justice to the complex stories with 3 movies only?

I will take russo brothers too..they are amazing story tellers

To me it would have to be a streamlined story revolving around Jon Snow. I dont think exactly translating books into movies ever works. I liked the streamlined version of IT as a movie based on the Stephen King book. I would like to see a similar treatment. In terms of dealing with complex and multiple characters, dont think it would be a problem for the Russo Brothers.

I am a huge fantasy nerd and I can't get enough of it. I read The Hobbit in the 7th grade and got hooked into Tolkien's world eve since. I like high fantasy more though.

To your question, no it won't be possible. There is no way they can get the cast back together. They will be older naturally and it won't just feel the same with someone else as Jon Snow or Tyrion.

GRRM's books are all we are going to have for a satisfying and drawn out ending.

Let's hope the spin offs have the same quality (as GOT season 1-6).

I am scared for the spin offs..they are doing the long night. If the F up Night king again this time

I was talking about the movies like 10 years from now..as I would want it after the final book is released and GRRM's vision is portrayed on screen. I think 10 years later I can imagine someone else as Jon other than Kit..not now..but 10 years yes

HBO won't do it. It is extremely rare to reproduce any show (or as movies) with alternate endings. Plus HBO owns the rights to ASOIAF I believe. Meaning no other studio can make it.

I am also skeptical about the spin offs. But good thing is that its entirely new sets of producers. D&D will have no say.

What about other few other big budget fantasy shows in the pipeline? Amazon is making a LoTR type show based on Tolkien's manuscripts. Wheel of Time series is in works. The Witcher is coming on Netflix.

GRRM has so much materials compared to Tolkien. If HBO is smart, it can create decade long fantasy shows. Just like Star Wars which has been going for around 40 years.

Yeah..arya's journey in west of westeros would be amazing if they decide to make one after say 5 6 years. The actress is really young she can easily comeback as grown up arya

No one is coming back bro. The show runners and the cast are done and dusted with this. I feel like you are looking for some kind of closures. But that ain’t happening. The upcoming books are your best bet.

Alif Laila was a good fantasy show too .

It had monsters, witches, evil characters. It was our childhood GoT. The streets would be empty when it would air on BTV.

I saw a few episodes but the incest and rape scenes put me off.

It however reminded me of the legendary adventure of Hercules they used to show on BTV.

Well Netflix is making Witcher starring Henry Cavill. That has the potential to be awesome. I hope Rowling also picks up harry potter as a middle aged auror working for the ministry of magic and creates a whole new super villain.

What kind of game is this? Chess type or checker type? (Assuming it is a board game)

Is there anyone sacrifice one's life for other's survival?

Is there any revival? Someone coming back from dead? The reason I ask is I have no clue on this. Never read or watched anything. Just heard Game of Thrones this, Game of Thrones that.
