We can do both. assign a fix score for each position based on average calculation method. And assign a point weight(much higher than the avg method) for every vote a team receives. then add both and declare the winner.

But it'd be unfair if we do based on average/stats because that wasn't mentioned at the starting. So I think we should do it on poll basis.

And moreover we're choosing players from different generation. obviously there will be some major difference.

@ TigerEz it's true. Name another one who was as effective with the bat and spinner as well. Jayasuriya was great batsman but not as effective with the ball, Carl Hooper was not near as good as Shakib, same case with Vettori with bat; no one comes to my mind
