Default Life - Death & Memories in Between

Earlier today one of my favorite persons passed away. He was my uncle (khalu). A jolly and fun loving person. Over the last year or so he has suffered quite a bit from his ailment. He is in a better place now. May God give my aunt and my cousins to bear the sorrow and this loss.

Life and death, and memories in between. Those who pass away; live in our memories. I tried to remember today all the fun memories with him. There were quite a bit.

Last time I saw him was during my Bangladesh trip last year. He loved cricket a lot and was following last year's IPL. He was always in front of tv whenever any live matches were on. I can still picture him watching a match with utmost enthusiasm.

"In life only death is certain." Inevitable. Even then, death is always unexpected and grips us with sorrow. There is always a feeling of certain emptiness; even though the world is moving on as it always has been.

"We belong to GOD, and to Him we are returning."
Quran 2:156

Life is short brother, I lost my grandmother, granpa and one couzin who was 24, she was recently married, all in last year, the pain is intolerable and to beleive it and facing reality or having the thought that that loving person is not here in this world, really makes me want to go to a corner and breakdown.

R.I.P Khalu, Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

My condolences Nasif Bhai.

For the first twenty years of my life, I saw older people usually passing away... the aunts and uncles of my parents. Or people of a similar age whom my parents would refer to as omuk shaheb and so-and-so khalamma.

Since 2005 onwards I personally am now seeing many people around me, 2 of my friends who are not with me anymore, my own khalas, khalus, uncles, aunties : people who are contemporaries of my parents have passed away. My friend's younger brother died the day before Qurbani eid last year in a tragic accident.

The passing of those around us are clearly a reminder for ourselves, that we may leave unpredictably and any day.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raajeun.

Imagine "death" facing at you. Will you try to find the check book or you are ready to make the journey? What will you take with you?

My dearest Brother,
We fear death. All of us who are not ready to go yet. May Allah give us strength to be ready. In test cricket we try to break down one session at a time or even 10/20 runs partnership at a time. In real life, we NEED to break down one prayer wakt at a time each day. May Allah give us the realization and allow us to work on our intention as well.

May his soul rest in peace, his family overcome the loss.

we should do our best to prepare for death at any age...sadly it is something that is difficult for mankind.

To Allah we belong, and to Him we must return.

Death can come to anyne at any time/moment. We should always be prepared to die, which is so tough. I'm scared, will I have the time to wipe out my sins before death ....... ?? I wish... but Allah knows it .......

We prayed Zanaja of a Muslim brother yesterday. Not that old. Shot dead. Soon we all will follow the dead also. No exception just different methods I guess. These are reminders for everyone.

I dont know what is happening this year to my life.... 5 of my 2 Uncle's (mama) Family died of the Japan Garden City fire incident couple of months back...and yesterday one of my very close friend died of a tragic road accident..... sometimes life is so cruel .... now i am feeling that the fun times , jolly times that I used to spent have ended....its time to take life more seriously ... May Allah Bless everyone, May Allah show every one the right path.......
