Ranjit Fernando
On a lighter note, what is with Ranjit Fernando commentating on our matches?!? The guy is moronic, provides no insight into any of our players. Even biased Athar is better than Ranjit. Im sure Ranjit is Sri Lankan coz last time he was so biased towards the Lankans.
Usually, im not against 'neutral' commentators but in this case, ranjit offers nothing! Im desperately hoping he is not travelling to South Africa. The guy is simply infuriating. I hope we get some true BD commentators like the ppl we have on BC for the SA tour.

I never found Ranjit Fernando biased or said anything against any bd player.he is 100% times better than any indian commentator. He always tried to support or praise bangladeshi game or player.even when bd was not doing well,he never criticized us harshly.

I dont mind him. He is erratic at time, but so is most other commies.
Only flawless guys comes to my mind are Richie Benaud (older gen) and Mark Nicolas of Channel 9, who is being seen as the next Benaud.
One must understand.....

He's just a lousy commentator - not a particularly biased one. Tune him out.

What a whack thread! As someone said before, must we complain about everything?! Nothing's wrong with him.. Just tune him out.. The problem will subside.. (I soon expect an Asoka De Silva thread popping up..)

No one hates him. One guy probably dislikes him and created a blog, while the rest are probably enjoying having a laugh. Anyway whats the point having a thread on this-at least in this section.

I also find Ranjit Fernando annoying mainly because of his pronounciation. "Ei betar kotha mone hoy nak diye ber hoy. Kemon meyeli type er."

while we are on the topic of commentators, the worst offenders in my book are:
messrs fernando, aamir sohair and waqar.our very own athar is also not far off the list.
this by no means is an exaggerated response. these guys have lucrative contracts with the sole purpose of bringing the viewers at home closer to the game and add to the entertainment value. they do add entertainment value but not the kind you would want. terrible accent, a cliche-a-second blabbering, zero insights, painful sense of humor all add up to make them nothing more than bumbling idiots.
i look forward to those rare instances when i can watch my team play. so don't tell me i don't have the right to be outraged when these monkeys with mikes spoil my fun! and no, i dont want to turn the volume down. i would rather have some decent commentators. don't think it's too much to ask. we don't have to live with mediocrity!

Mark Nicholas reminds me of Aamir Sohail - both over-exaggerate EVERYTHING, and both are incredibly annoying.

Chowdhury Jafrullah Sharafat has been seen loitering around ESOL classes around MIrpur and Rampura. His Banglish on BTV is also getting more and more prevalent during interviews with ex-National cricketers.
I'd like to see him next to Ata and Shamim on NEO, ESPN or whatever.

You guys really have time. You are not supposed to like every one. What's the big deal about it? Just take it easy!
