Bangladesh bags gold in floor hokey event at Special Olympics

Bangladesh Special Olympic Hockey Team won the gold medal in the floor hockey event beating Canada by 2-0 at the Special Olympics World Winter Games held incPyeong Chong, South Korea.

This is Bangladesh Special Olympics Team’s first appearance in the Special Olympics World Winter Games and they won their first gold by beating the defending champion Canada. Earlier, Bangladesh beat Nigeria by 2-1 in the semi final to reach to final.

The special Olympic team is scheduled to return on February 06, 2013.

Earlier, a 24-member Bangladesh team went to Pyeonchang to take part in the 10th Special Olympics World Winter Games.
