The Jersey of Barisal Burners

It will burn their eyes
When the Sun shines.
Not in the ball park
It will shine in the dark.
Ball will bang on the heads
Of marky Aftab and Sir Ash.
Shahadat will carry more water
Opponents will say, no play further.
Other players will say, mamma it is chili peppers
Their beloved mothers will say, no, it is mighty Barisal Burners.

Julien Fountain Signs with the Dhaka Gladiators

As the Pakistan Cricket Board prepare to finalise their coaching team to take over duties after the ongoing series against England, Julien Fountain, the man tipped to become Pakistan's next Fielding Coach, has signed a deal to work with the Dhaka Gladiators in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League.

Speaking exclusively with PakPassion.net; Fountain, who was hired by Bob Woolmer to act as Specialist Fielding Coach for the Pakistan Team on their tour of England in 2006, stated "The Bangladesh Premier League is a new T20 tournament, and as a coach who specialises in T20 skills, it sounds like an exciting venture and I wanted to be part of it. As a professional coach I want the opportunity to work with players from all over the world and this is the perfect chance to both showcase my own ability and work with a range players."

Fountain, who had previously been assistant coach to the Pakistan A Team, under head coach Mudasser Nazar, says he enjoys working in the subcontinent and with subcontinent players, and, having previously worked in Bangladesh, is no stranger to Dhaka !

Regarding his appointment as the Pakistan Fielding coach, Fountain remained tight lipped, however sources close to Fountain hinted that he will be joining the Pakistan team in time for the Asia Cup, which coincidentally is also in Bangladesh.

Fountain said "The PCB will announce their decision regarding the appointment sometime soon, but in the meantime I'm happy to be working in the Bangladesh Premier League with Ian Pont who will be the Head Coach for Dhaka."

On the papers they are deadly
Surely, they will perform badly.
It is the players who make the difference
Ash and Aftab have no confidence.
Afridi and Ajmal have arrogance
Not worried about their performance.
At the end, the 'hens' will say cock cock cock
We will say pock pock pock .
Ian and Julien will not cut the cake
Because they will have the same fate.

***This poem is dedicated to now exceptionally silent (but often cocky) Simon bhai.

Its easy to rhyme
and there aint no crime
but let me tell you this
that Dhaka Gladiators have got this
with players like Ash
BPL will trash Big Bash
Here we have Ian Pont
who will lead the team from the front
We have fresh bloods like Anamul
Who will outscore good old Shakibul
Lets not forget our legend Mortaza
who will prove again and again he is the "Raja"
Pollard, Afridi we have em all
Oh Chittagong, think twice before u bowl
Last but not least we are the fans of Dhaka
support anyone else and you will get nothing but "cheka"

I suck at rhyming, but just did it for fun

I do like to carry on and on
But at the end I see my time is gone.
It is the ruthless and endless time
That destroys my loving pass-time.
Like time, I was looking for the precious immortality
But by birth, with pain and joy I got mortality.
In the craving world which is fatal
Will these few lines make me immortal?

So here we have healthy competition
But do you know who will win this season?
The team who got the number one
Whose bowling is incomparable to even Swann
His batting is a threat to any team
Everyone knows he is the best in this game
That's our Shakib leading the Khulna Royal Bengal
This team is too hot to handle

A lame try
