Exclamation BCCI not against Champions Trophy !!!

BCCI President Sharad Power announced today that BCCI is not against Champions Trophy. All the previous statements made such as “If others want to play, they can, but we've not signed any agreement to play in future editions” are now just personal views of some BCCI Officials!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a turn!!
What should we call it--180 degree, 360 degree or 540 degree??

Cricinfo Article: BCCI not against Champions Trophy

Sharad Pawar, the president of the Indian board, has said that the BCCI was not opposed to either the Champions Trophy or Twenty20 as long as there was a consensus between all the members of the ICC.

This softening of stance came after the Indian board had earlier opposed the scheduling of the Champions Trophy in October. "We're not free in October in 2007, 2008 or 2009," Lalit Modi, the BCCI vice-president, had said in January. "We have made our position clear to the ICC many times. If others want to play, they can, but why should we play in October? We've not signed any agreement to play in future editions and we've made our position very clear to the ICC many times."

But Pawar said that Modi's comments, including those that the BCCI could earn more by playing a bilateral series rather than the Champions Trophy, were "his personal view. It is not the view of BCCI.

So from now onwards after every interview, press release the media need to ask BCCI president and vice president, "Is this your personal point of view or the BCCI one?"
if the answer is first one then we need not to put much weight on it. Eventhough it is a press release, official interview etc.

The only reason Mr. Sharad Pawar is softening his stance is because there is only three days remaining for ICC to make a decision on where 2011 WC will be held. Does he think we are so dumb and would not understand why he is saying this now?

What was he doing in January when Modi was making those comments? Why didn't he clear BCCI's name from those comments then?
