World Cup Preparation - as a Fan!
Al right, it's already Feb now. Less than 2 weeks for WC 2015.
I know most of the BC forum members are crazy anyways and we even watch Tigers play against Nepal with passion - sacrificing sleeping hours, miss work & school etc.
But WC is special .... we have at least 6 matches to watch .. may be more!
For me, I'm taking some time off from work and so far all set for 4 BD matches. Still need to figure out 2 ....
Still remember the first WC match I saw on TV back in 1992 ( was a class 7 student) ... Aus vs NZ - 1st game in the tournament ... woke up at 3am and watched it with my old man ... first 2 balls were wide by Craig Mcdermott and my dad was saying what sort of WC was this! Next ball Mcdermott bowled John Wright! For some reason, I can clearly remember this thing! Will never forget I guess!
Colourful Dress, White Ball, Pinch Hitter etc made a huge impression on me!
What sort of preparation / arrangement you are doing to watch the WC ... Are you taking some vacation time from work, calling SICK, planning to ditch classes if possible, going to Oz land to watch LIVE or bekar atm like iDumb bro LOL ??!!
Don't forget to share your previous WC memories too!

I missed the 92 WC. I was studying in the midwest. At that time there was no cricinfo, wi-fi, internet.
Per minute phone call was $8. McDonald cheese burger was 34 cents. Really. My dad kept me up to date in letters. Two weeks it took to arrive.

haha I was thinking the same when I saw the picture. I was 3 years old in 92 WC so of course I have no memory of it. But I will give it a try
India - Azharuddin
Pak - Imran Khan
SL - Aravinda De Silva
Aus - Allan Border ?
NZ - Martin Crowe ?
England - Graham Gooch ?
WI - Richie Richardson
Zim - Dave Houghton
SA - No idea but wild guess would be Graeme Pollock
pass korsi naki bhai?

^Kepler Wessels.
Right before the 92 WC, SA returned to cricket after a long period of time. He played for Australia and later played for SA

Cricinfo Question: which player(the only player so far in world cup history) played in three world cup finals as a runner's up.
Answer: Grame Gooch
England has never won a 50 over world cup(maybe something to do with ohonkar/arrogance) they always have a formidable team on paper but somehow they manage to screw it up, even last world cup in the group stages they pretty much beat everybody except Bangladesh and Ireland(both "minnows"....serves them right). Same theory applies to their soccer team.
anyways, I plan to pretty much stay up half the night and then go to work the next morning(unless it is snowing). the Scotland game starts pretty early so that's good. another plan, sleep a couple of hours before match time and then watch the rest of the night with BC

Calling in sick on the 18th for the match against Afghans.
That is the biggest match for us this world cup.
Win that and the confidence should help us perform better in the remaining 5 matches.

I am using my AV to watch all the above matches, plus I took days off to watch:
-> March 21st to watch the 4th Quarter-Final (Bangladesh vs B1)
-> March 26th to watch the 2nd Semi-Final (Bangladesh vs. TBA)
-> March 29th to watch the Final (Bangladesh vs. TBA)
My friends and family say that I am a "crazy" Tigers' fan, but I claim myself as a passionate fan of Tigers'. I remember I have watched one match in 1999 through Videon and paid $ 487.00 (Yes, just to watch one match!) while I was living in Winnipeg, Manitoba. To date, I have missed only one ODI played by Tigers.
Anyway, this year, I am so excited...I can't express it (I wish I were Zee who is an expert playing with words...)...I think we have the best WC squad to date with a fighting cap who never gives up. We have the world's top all-rounder in our team in all three formats...we have the best spinners...we have a brave bunch of kids who are passionate about their cricket and wants to do something for their beloved Bangladesh...
I am here for you Tigers...

Hi all,
Hope all of you are doing well and getting ready for an exciting Bangladesh ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 campaign in Australia. Does anyone know where can I find this world cup's Bangladesh jersey in Dhaka? I heard the jersey is out by now. I am after some quality Jerseys for my family & friends. Hope you guys can help with this information.
Thanks.

Bangladesh might come 2nd or 3rd in their group if they bit Sri and Eng. I think it is possible.
