Oh wow....maybe it would be better if he didnt play...atleast he wouldnt have disgraced himself and the BD image...he has just proved why the asian selectors are hesitant to keep BD players in the top eleven in this sort of match...

He went for a pull shot...only goes to show that the kid is NOT afraid to play his strokes. Atleast he is being positive!

Golden Duck
After all this waiting..after the utter disappointment in seeing ASH as sub, and then finally the joy to see him get there to bat, and then guess what, a duck!!

Haha, oh well, this was always in the cards. Let's hope he shows better judgement when he is playing for our country.

It is quite interesting (least to say) the voice of optimism that you gents seem to posess. I see it a way of representation. That pull shot may not be the proudest moment in Ash's career, but the fact that he did get the selectors nod is a good enough jesture for me.

Unless management asked them to play like that it was a good time for Ash to be the hero for the sub-continent. But I guess they must have said something to this sort "give the crowd what they came to see".

Inzi was set after playing 10 balls Ashraful came in with 2 wickets down on that over and went for it anyway. Judging the pitch - who cares. Hot bowler - who cares.

I would rather criticise the captain for that, as he asked Ash to face the danger over from Pollak, where he was suppose to go and resist the pressure....I dont see any logic sending Ash on that order...

what a wonderful opportunity for Ash, he should have made use of it ! but hey, if the law of averages comes true, he should be scoring bigggg next match .
He shldnt have thrown his wicket when wickets were already tumbling, shld have played himself in.
neways, better luck next time.
Cheers !!

actually Ash came at his current number 4 position. He is not a bowler who needs to be protected...if he is as good as we claim he is he should handle what comes his way. Let us stop making excuses and accept it for what it is i.e. a bad judgement call from a very attacking player.
And BTW, I think we need to give "oh thats it! no more bangladeshi players in the future will be selected" a rest!!!! As the well-knwon saying goes ". . . . happens"

but crowd don't come to see a match of 30 overs....they paid for full 50 overs. Very poor batting from both the teams.
AND an big prize money is there for the winner.

Don't just blame selectors!
They took Ash and Tikolo to represent BD and Keneya and see what wonderfully they performed, 0 run scored in 3 balls. Extraordinary performence indeed.
