We could have done a lot better in this tournament but it still feels good to end the tournament with the win. The players should only get better if they are managed better during the transition.

Now when they go home...Send them stright to Richard McLnnes. Not only them, add Mominul, Shabbir, Abul, Mahmudul, Alauddin Babu, Kamrul Rabbi and few more promising youngsters, and leave them with him for min.2 yrs...that will not only help their progress, but also their skills and mentality

Notice had we lost this match, we'd have been the group of death...AGAIN. We're almost always in the group of death based on how we play...in 2014, Pakistan and SL should be in the group of death.

thanks for the information.
so.. bangladesh can hope to get an easier group next time.

Fantastic win. Anamul played like a gem. 8 sixes! Wohooo..
Now please send this group of players to McCinnes. Don't even think of bringing them to national team for atleast a year. Let McCinnes do his ghosha majaa on them..I am looking forward to see what type of a player Taskin and Anamul become under McCinnes supervision

Congrats to the boys! Overall, I think it's been a good tournament for them. Remember it's in Australia and these boys have never played there before so obviously you would see some struggles along the way. Picking up wins against SL and Pakistan is a good achievement.
Now on to the players readiness, I'll say only Anamul is the only one that will make the national team in the near future. I think we also see why the fans were not really excited about Asif. He's still got a long ways to go before he's ready. He's nowhere near the player Anamul is. I think he needs at least 2-3 years before he's ready for international cricket. Sarkar also seems a talent but I would also give him 2-3 years at least because it's clear he has temperamental issues. Besides Anamul, I was impressed the most with Das. He seems to have a good temperament to him and was very consistent throughout the tournament. He also has a long ways to go but definitely a good top order prospect for the national team. All the middle order guys are clearly not ready and don't see them being prospects for now. They are really young so maybe it'll be a few years before they start doing well in the U19 format.
As for the bowlers, Taskin, Dewan, and Jayed all seem like genuine pace prospects. They all need a bit of time before they're brought in but with the lack of pacers, it's great to see them breaking in. Definitely need more match practice. I was honestly disappointed with Noor. He clearly has a long ways to go before he's ready.
Best of luck to these boys in their futures now. Hopefully they all end up doing well in their careers.

Overall, I'm pleased. My expectations weren't set high given the Asia Cup performance and I'd say the boys have exceeded them especially in terms of individual performances. It feels great to have two players in the Top 5 of the batting charts and Bijoy topping it. There's still an outside threat of Bijoy being overtaken by Chad Bowes and/or Quinton de Kock who still have one match to play but even if that should happen it will in no way undermine Bijoy's performance. Liton has been more than adept at executing his role in the line-up and I believe he'll be the captain of the U19 team by the time the next WC comes around. Coming to the bowling, I'm impressed by the pace attack despite the inconsistent performances. Dewan Shabbir, Shoumya Sarkar and Abu Jayed have been economical and Taskin, overlooking his profligacy, has shown he has the ability to pick up wickets coupled with all the classic fast-bowler attributes. Thankfully he's (officially registered as) 17 and there's enough time to work on the containing side of his bowling.

Low Strike Rate in Limited Overs doesn't equate to Good Temperament in the longer version.
