Pak has very bad record in WC against Ind...so based on that statistics and ground advantage...and solid batting Ind will win this game...as expected and go to finals...expectations only does not work when BD plays...sorry to bring BD and wish our players could have taken QF advantages..

I think India should play Yusuf Pathan instead of Munaf or Nehra.

Yusuf and Raina can bowl out 10 overs among them as Yuvraj has become an effective 4th specialist bowler.

Munaf and Nehra are clumsyf fielders, no.11 batsmen and havent even bowled well in the tournament, they dont bring anything to the Indian team.

I also hope so for different reason. It will further explose India's porus bowling. Except for Zaheer the rest are always suspect. That will give some hope to pakistan. I am not sold to Yusuf's bowling, nor Raina's. Yusuf will give some power in the batting order, but does India need more?

In this game I am supporting Pakistan over India even though Pakistan is the underdog. But definelty I would like to see a more competative game rather than one sided (which may happen if India's batting clicks)

If Mohali pitch assists seamers, India should play Sreesanth or Nehra. If Mohali pitch assists spinners or is flat, India should bring in Yousuf Pathan in place of Munaf.

This is an even contest. India's batting superiority is offset by its weak bowling. Exactly opposite case for Pakistan. It will be a battle of Pakistan bowlers vs India batsman and all i can say is, it is better to keep the mouth shut than to predict anything and look like a fool after the match.

Home pressure can weigh-in on India and Pakistan team is always more pumped up and enjoys playing in India anyways. It will be a battle of nerves. All i can say is, Sanjay Manjrekar is going to look like a fool for having predicted a one-sided contest in favor of India.

All other times that India have beaten Pakistan in the WC, India were underdogs and Pakistan the favourites. This time, it is the other way round. That means Pakistan team is going to play more freely.

My heart says India will win. My mind says, India will choke. It is an epic battle between the heart and the mind. Lets see what gives.

Have a little faith in your formidable batting lineup and the depth therein. They have Gul and Afridi, and you have Zaheer (not as good as Gul but close enough) and Harbhajan (not in form but will be in Indian Punjab). Both Chawla and Ashwin in full flow are as good as their other slow bowlers if not better. That leaves the other seamers in the match. Pakistan's advantage here is not only mitigated by deeper and superior Indian batting, but I believe it gives India the adWantage. My money's on India.

Sri Lanka is another story.

Thanks for the anthem lyrics; the Sri Lankan rendition of anthem was best of the 3 host nations; an orchestral choral version.It was also funny that they played all 3 stanzas, and by the 3rd stanza you could see few of the players able to sing

I sometimes wish we had played an orchestral version of Shonar Bangla instead of a solo male singer before our games

I love the Tagoresque melody also, Expected when it comes to our own and India's anthem because both were written by him, but Sri Lanka's has always been a pleasant surprise for me.

I loved the Chhayanaut version of our national anthem the best. That's how it was meant to be sung in a chorus. A western orchestral arrangement, even a good one by someone at the Julliard, would overpower the incredible lyrics IMHO

I want this to be a feisty, ill tempered match that results in a massive brawl on the pitch. I am not a fan of either team, if someone held a gun to my head, I'd probably say I prefer India to win, but even then I'd have to think twice.
