The file name says, dot_hot_red_folder, but can not understand the meaning from it..

As far as I know this icon means:
its a thread with more than 200 views, where you have posted one or more messages; and it has a new message now.

May have different meaning. Because I have several posts in Pictures: Gold in weightlifting not so far! , and it has been viewed 249 times with 21 replies (at the time of this post), but it does not show .

It may be meaningful to define it in each forum like the others already appearing there.

That is because that thread doesn't have a new post since your last visit.

That icon will only come up once when you come into the forum; where a new post is added to thread where you participated and that has more than 200 views.

My explanation could be wrong too . I am not 100% sure of this.

Ofcourse would like to see the definition in each forum as a footnote.
