Athar the local expert is befuddled by a simple question from JD. He sidesteps the issue with BS but cannot get away with it. What a clueless moron!

Dujon is asking good questions. Its not a good one day pitch, it might give the BD team series win (hope so) but it will never help BD Cricket.

If I was Athar, I would have told him to STFU

if atahar has the courage to admit it, then dujon might tell him the truth that it will not help you bd cricket any way.

A "good ODI pitch" is something that offers something to batters and bowlers in equal measure and does not deteriorate. So the answer is yes. WI batters didn't get out because of the pitch.

I woould say its a great ODI pitch... it doesn't have to *always* favour the batsmen... i hate the batting friendly mentality of ODI cricket..

Give Mr. Dujon a break.

Wicket-keepers are combative by nature.

Examples: Ian Healy, Mark Boucher, Adam Gilchrist, Matt Prior, Rashid Latiff even our little Mushy likes a throwdown.

Athar could have just answered it straight.... Yes, why not?? Not necessary that a ODI pitch has to ensure a run fest...

If only AAK was a bit smarter, he would have a better response to Dujon's questions 'If this is a good ODI pitch?'

My answer would be 'Yes'. So many grounds around the world, ODI pitches solely favor the batsmen and there's nothing in it for the bowlers. This pitch is a refreshing change and gives the bowlers a leg up to balance things out. This is a good ODI pitch Dujon!
