oook i see, ye in Kolkata its just the man pulling rickshaws though perhaps different designs. the auto ones are funny, but like some people have said noisy and pollutied, typical communists in Kolkata tryin the cheapest method tbh i dont reli see a difference in the ones that have replaced the autorickshaws in Dhaka!!

I liked the electric tram in kolkota. I was riding on a tram (late 80's) with my dad, going to college street to bye Feluda books and all on a sudden that tram stopped and everyone was running out of it, we found out there was an electric problem or something like that so we got off too. childhood memories *sigh*

ye the tram is pretty special but always breaks down..... U read Feluda?? i love those books man, ii got the whole collection i remember readin them wiv my Dadu when i was little. I loved the movie as well, the Ganguly fellow who spoke a mixture of hindi and bangla, lol

The new one's are Four stroke and Run on natural Gas,so less noise and pollution.

The whole Satyajit Roy collection is my favourite, athe best being Professor Shonku. But Feluda is unparalleled. And with Ganguly, you mean Lalmohon Ganguly? Jotayu?

Now a quick quiz, who was the villain that toyed with him?
Hint: Feluda gave him one of his own doses back in Kathmandu

Btw, when I said bike, I meant motor bike.

It's been a while since I've read Feluda or Satiyajit Roy. I think Sonar Kella was the first one I'd ever watched, when I was 7 or 8.

I think I have read and reread each and every Feluda book at least 3 times.

Feluda and Faluda are two of the best things to come out of South Asia.

I first read LONDONEY FELUDA while in BD. In the book, Satyajit Ray talks about the shops in Oxford Street.

I came to London ---- went to Oxford Street and lo and behld! The shops are indeed there!

I think the first Shonku book I'd read was "Professor Shonku o Bhoot".

Btw, does anyone else think Shoumitro looks a lot like the sketches of Feluda in Satyajit's books? I've been told that the sketches were made with the intentions of casting Shoumitro in Feluda movies in mind. Gogol's grandpa isn't too bad either.

Also - Robi Ghosh was perfect for Lal Mohan Babu. Btw, any Gupi Gain Bagha Bain fans here?
