I agree Gazi should be dropped for T20's but definitely belongs in the ODI and Test sides. Razzak and Arafat should be our T20I bowlers IMO.

Really worried about Gazi. When the conditions and opposition don't suit him he is pretty much useless. At the very least you'd expect a spinner to be economical when he is struggling to get wickets but Gazi bowls way too many loose deliveries for my liking and kills any pressure on the batsmen. Considering the fact that he is the only genuine offie in the country and his batting ability, I'd still keep him around in the Test and ODI squads but give guys like Arafat and Taijul chances in the XI while Gazi rediscovers his form. He is no T20 bowler however.

I would like to see Arafat in ODI also. Whatever I watched so far, I liked him. He can create presure and thereby wickets with his tidy bowling. He can be effective in ODI as he was in T20. Right now I would take him over Razzak and Gazi. Not that I am discounting Gazi as our long term solution in future, but I want to see more of Arafat.

Not writing him off yet, but have we overestimated the ability of Sohag Gazi?

Difficult conditions yesterday, but even against Sri Lanka seems to be lack of learning or intelligence. Surely he cant expect Saqlain Mushtaq to come and spoon feed him.

Hes played quite a bit of cricket by now, and cant say he is any better than what he was when he started.

You dont need to have the wizardry of Muttiah Muralitharan to be a good off spinner. A simple example is Graemme Swann. Started out as a very average all rounder and developed into a world class spinner. It was all about strong basics and intelligence. Gazi lags behind in both categories. Always bowling into the pads, plenty of long hops, predictable bowling.

I agree. Forget about Murali and Swann, even in the recent SL series I think Senanyeke and Dilruwan Perera bowled much better than Gazi.

nothing special about his bowling anymore. He really needs to work hard if he wants to be in the team.

yeah he was doing really well when he first entered, players need to find a way to keep it going, gazi has not, wouldn't be a bad idea to get someone else who is in form into the team.

He didn't do well enough for long enough to secure his spot imo, still should be in contention but at this point if there is a good inform spinner around and sohag isn't in form then pick them.

If he can get his act together soon then a couple more series would see him as the 2nd best spinner BD has produced but the way he's been the whole SL series it doesn't look like it will happen in the recent future.

Not trying as hard as he should. Right now Mahmudullah will offer more as an off spinner than Gazi.

When he started, Gazi would vary his bowling to some extent. The delay delivery, the straighter one. Would bowl around the wicket to right handers. Dont see any of that.

Gazi cleared to bowl. Great news for him and Bangladesh. Hope he comes back stronger than ever.

Great news! We need Gazi pushing the Jubairs and Taijuls. We shouldn't forget that he's no mug with the bat (debut 100s in 1st class AND Test - which apparently Gayle doesn't remember). Would love to see footage of his new action.
