It would be interesting to see how Bezos divorce divides their assets. She was there with him since the planning of amazon on a drawing board.

marriage is a bad investment for the guy. In fact i am gonna go as far as saying marriage is unnecessary in today's world atleast in most modern rich countries. These days women are or can be very independent and are self sufficient. Yet they want a man to take care of them while ignoring to play their role in the name of this "independence"/feminism. There was some data i read recently that shows in current time we WORK mOre and also spend more time with family - meaning our life is that much dedicated for the cause of others compared to previous generations.

Marriage is really for beta males who needs to go that extra mile to have that girl next to them. Maybe they need a working wife to bring in some money.

Divorce laws are unfairly favorable to women, and so is marriage.

Marriage doens't make any sense for ppl who can get most things in life like Bezos or zuckerburg. It also doesn't make sense for relatively successful ppl too but that can be debatable.

Why do I have to compromise anything for anybody when i can get whatever I can get anyway and with much freedom? if you are able to analyze marriage without regards to social norms or social pressure - it is a no brainer that for certian ppl marriage is worse than buying bitcoin at the top.

No man. where did you hear that. There is no getting wealth back. I think what you are referring to is alimony can be stopped when the recipient get married. Bezos wife is not be eligible for alimony :p

Divorce is the biggest financial set back one will experience in their life. Mostly because of its timing....

ppl can usually recover from anything in 20s - but as u age . it's that much tougher. Ppl usually get divorce like in their early 40s.. u are at ur prime earnings, plus have adequate savings... BOOM... ur are wiped. And then u are just struggling to catch up...

If you gonna get married u better make sure that it's gonna last lifetime....

or you could be like one of my high school buddy who married an ivy league med school grad doc while he stays home... all risks on her. that's a beta male who needs marriage.

Everyone dies alone. Same concept as having children. Ppl will say if u don't have children u die alone. There are many ppl who live a fulfilling life without ever having children.

Marriage is a strategic union, it is not a union of love as falsely believed. Also if you want children u can have children without marriage.

One can be committed to many things as long as it is beneficial. Once it starts becoming non beneficial there is no reason for this commitment just because a contract was signed.

anyways it's good/beneficial for some men however.
