some people here seems even havn't seen in their life how does Taposh used to bowl or how does he look and even making odd weird comments. By the way Taposh is much underrated then what he is. He has the capability of both way swing, he is handy batsman as well at the tail end. He has been doing very well recently in domestics but only GOd knows why he has been ignored, not getting any attention from big boys!!

I have fond memories of Taposh! Specially that '04 series against The West Indians in the Caribbean! That was a Lion hearted performance!

If he had Razzak and Shakib in his days, his careers stats would have been soo much better.

I used to like him as he was the guy who always gave us the first breakthrough of the match.

He is still young, and have a chance to come back

I still remember the win against Australia. Bangladesh won by 5 wickets. Same number of wickets was lost on Australian side. From that 5 wickets, Taposh took 3 wickets. Now you tell me. Taposh got 3 wickets from a side which was at its pick. Remember!!!

Can he possibly do any worse than Shahadat, Rubel or Abul? Why don't we pick someone with decent FC stats for once?

I think we should give him one more chance for the next test series but when are the dates for the tour to Sri Lanka? gaps between International Cricket for Bangladesh is long and bad.

I liked him. Whenever Mashrafee was injured he would be the one to lead the attack. He had variation, pace and a big heart. In my opinion he was and is always better than Shahadat.

Seriously, I don't see any humor in any of those two points. Boring generalizations maybe, but not funny.

Hows his and Talha's bowling nowadays? No don't bring up stats I want to know if he and Talha's bowling have been a result of good bowling. Remember these FC competitions and international cricket are a far different beast. That being said, if not the national team, him along with Talha can be given chances in the A team. They should definitely be kept on the radar if they're actually bowling well. We should be having about 8-10 pacers in our pipeline and keeping them fresh. We can't just rely on 3-4 pacers in the long run.

Yes, I do remember that match. We won that match all thanks to him!

I liked watching him bowling during our '03-'04 test series against Australia. He didn't get many wickets but troubled few Australian batsmen.

Taposh should be included in the A team along with Abul in order to decide who is better.

yes if australia is anything to go by any national team needs 8-10 pacers within it's rotation. australia atm are so lucky they have so many great fast bowlers, i think any other team would be truly struggling if they had to combat so many pacer injuries (some are struggling without injuries to their main guys).

Keep in mind, Taposh is a decent tail end batsman as well and have saved our back a few times in international matches as well. I would not mind evaluating him more at all.

Whats with all the Abul love? All he has is a bit of pace, has even taken a single wicket in BCL. He might be able to swing the ball a touch, and even then he doesn't look like troubling anyone. I think Sajidul and Tapash and even Shafiul are much better pacers.

Taposh is still 10 times better than Shahadat and Rubel.

100 times better than Abul.

Well Abul has lot of time to ripe, he can take another 4 domestic seasons before returning.
He will still be young for our team.
Not same for Taposh. Actually, this comparison itself is pointless.

We saw heroic returns in Agarkar, Nehra, Best, Bond. We can expect a similar from Taposh, limited to his own level indeed.

This. The guy's going at like 5 RPO wiithout a bloody wicket. That's awful. If he comes back or something, great. But now he's absolute rubbish.

Hell even Reza or Zia is doing WAY better than Abul now.
