Bangladeshi Commentator Hunt Thread
Athar Ali Khan has been leading a somewhat successful career as a commentator. Who among the current officials and players, ex-players possess the maximum possibilities to enter into the exciting world of Internationl cricket commentary? Ideas welcome.

My choice would be SohelNR although I did not hear him speak but reading his posts gives the picture that he possess enough cricketing knowledge and linguistic skill to take it as a career from which he might make the country proud everytime in the booth although its completely his life.

Is there a hunt going on in Bangladesh already or is this just an idea?? I like the idea though, we should hunt for them and the top ones will get a chance to comentate for us and then who knows they might be international comentators!!

Shakil Kasem is the only good choice IMHO. He speaks grammatically correct English, knows his cricket inside and out, passionate and witty. We won't have those Ata-esque "liidabidss of payss", "absolutely biudee", "he need to work on technique" and "they needs to be peshent" with Mr. Kasem. Shamim C-style bland, lifeless and uninteresting "eyewitness accounts" may also be a thing of the past with him.
From the BC crowd, I'd propose a hybrid of the following members: -
1. Z-bhai: Witty, sharp and knows what he is talking about about. Excellent command of the English language ... a better educated, Bangladeshi Ian Chappell.
2. Ammar and T_E: Ghaurha, mejaji and knowledgeable ... BD Boycotts.
3. Beamer, Arito and Imtiaz K: Technical advisors ... BD Gavaskers with more josh.
4. One World: Database ... BD Bhogle.
5. Babubangla and Arnab: The X factors ... themselves with a sprinkle of Holding and a dash of Botham.
6. Fazal: Irreverent ... himself.
7. Antora93: Enthusiasm ... herself with a drizzle of Mbengwa.

Mhamudur Rahman could be a choice. He used to do it long time ago. Speaks good and correct english. Cricketing knowledge could be problem though.

Shakil Kashem it is. The mix of mojo, cricket, wit and language - thats what is needed also a humble communication skill to play along with the co-announcer.

That maybe too much to ask ...
Bhogle = Harsha Bhogle, digs up cool stuff.
