Bangladesh to host 20/20 World cup or Champions Trophy in 2014

Hosting rights have though been allocated for the events in 2012 and 2014. Sri Lanka has earned the right to host the 2012 event while Bangladesh will host the major ICC event in 2014.

"We have every confidence that they will stage another memorable event in 2012 be it Twenty20 or ODI cricket.

"Bangladesh hosted perhaps the most remarkably successful ICC event during my time as ICC President, the ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup 2004. The fact that they have now been asked to host a major ICC event in 2014 as well as act as a joint host of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 is testament to the progress that has been made in Bangladesh cricket over recent times."

Which one woud you guys perfer? We have to get ready for 20/20 cause the first 20/20 WC is in Sept of next year.

Champions Trophy, obviously.

Then you better hope 20/20 falls flat on it's face but at the rate it's popularity is growing at I'd think 20/20 will get the nod over the Champions Trophy, Alot depends on how the next 2 champions trophy plays out.

Plus I think it's useless to hold a Champions trophy 6-12 months before the WC in Aus-NZ in 2015, might as well go for a 20/20 event,

I thought some of the countries (or may be just India) didn't prefer the idea of Champions trophy?
