"Behuda kotha"- said Asst. Sec. General Jamat Kamruzzaman on 'Juddho oporadhider bicher'
April 10th 2008
Just after coming out of meeting with Advisors at 'Rail Bhaban Asst. secretary General of Jamat e Islami BD said the journalists on 'Juddho oporadhider bicher' that, "some people is trying to hot the political situation on such an issue which has been decided (mimangshito issue). When a journalist said maximum no of political parties are saying then he said, “Maximum no of party but not maximum no of people. It is a 'Behuda' (useless/meaningless) talk."
So that is the arrogance again shown by JI guys. They just don't bother at all. How much they think them selves strong! And why not they are currently running some of the biggest profit earning financial organization one of those is Islami Bank.
So many processions done by Sector Commanders Forum but still they are not afraid at all. It's a very frustrating situation for us. We want 'Juddho oporadhider bicher' but who will do? It seems to me that the political parties are again going to make political profit on this issue but won't do the original work of justice to the Beer Shahid...

If they are honest enough they would have given up themselves to the police. But who in the correct mind would give up? Certainly not these corrupt ones.

thiki toh bolse. All this is behuda talk from sector comanders. 6 months dhore they have been talking like morons. Why cant they file a case? They can hire a panel of lawyers and start filing cases as a forum of freedom fighters. Why would the government need to do it. And as for the government, they say that they want free elections without corrupt leaders, but cannot do nething to stop people who opposed the birth of our country.

The fact as far as I know since my childhood: it's a "Mimangshito issue". That's a fact, isn't it. Gono khoma korbo abar bichar chaibo - tamasha naki! It's time to sit and get ready for the election to build the nation. Whether people want JI or not should be tested in the election. No of political parties vs no of people - this can be easily sorted on election result. So let's just wait and see.

No sorry. Then why is hasina or khaleda being tried. Let them run in elections and let the people decide. If you did a crime you should be punished and not be eligible for running if it is a major crime.
Gono Khoma was issued by sheikh mujibs government, but it allowed individuals to pursue any such cases. It was understandable because the state did not want to waste its minimal resources on catching war criminals when there are other important issues in the agenda, like building the countries from ruins.
I donno much about the khoma that was dished out by zia, so i will not comment.
But going back to the issue of elections. Elections are not won or lost on one issue, its a package of issues. Most people in the 2004 elections in america voted for bush, but was anti war. But yeah a referendum can be made and the people can be asked to provide a yes or a no vote as to whether war criminals should be tried and if found guilty bannned from politics.

JI has got money. AFter the war, Golam Azam went to Middle east and collected lots of petro dollar. He spent those money very wisely. Now they have invested in many hospitals, schools and uni's . Hence Gov is having tough time being hard on them. Otherwise, it shouldn't be that hard job for the current gov to kick these dogs out from our country.

Yes acting according to the situation is wise I believe. If the govt after liberation found it wise to focus on building the country from ruins and abandon any attempt to capture war criminals (doing 'gonokhoma') the CTG might be thinking it wise to concentrate on the coming election and rebuild the nation after huge gono churi done by political leaders so far. If anyone or anything can sort the criminals out it could be Bangladeshi jonogon through their mandate on the election. If people want them (war criminals) to bring in power or if people want the previous chor-batpars again in power... I have nothing further for now.

Someday some kids will form an Assasin squad and get rid of all these Rajakars brutally.
That day is not far, my friends.

People dont realize that Bangladesh is better off security wise Alhamdulillah than many many African and Latin American countries. The main reason is a non-existence of assassin squads.
Just ask all those assassin squads in Algeria, Colombia, Nigeria, Sudan, El Salvador, they all have "justified reasons" and grievances for deciding to take law into their hands.
But what results is bloodbaths where one squad attacks a whole village and then another squad retaliates and so on. Government support one squad publicly, and sometimes supports other party behidn closed doors.
We pray to Allah to save us from a situation where people decide who to kill and how to kill and total chaos ensues

Well, we have many Cadres and mastans. If these guys ever feel the determination, they can join forces and do us good by getting rid of the Rajakars.
It's been 37 years, yet Golam Azam moves around in Mogbazar with 50 cadres guarding him. I can bet that these guys will NEVER be tried for their crimes.

If we have to depend on those Cadres and mastans to do us any form of good - we all have serious moral deficiency.

Miraz's resourceful thread can come very handy here on discussing "gono khoma".

Zahid,
No matter how much resource you put to take out someone, if his time is not up you can't take him out. Assassination was tried numerous times on Golam Azam. Just like O-Bin-L.

But they currently owe some big financial institute, television channels, newspapers, Industries, hospitals, insurance, diagnostic centre. By these they r not only making money and playing power games in policy making level but also it is a very good place for them to give enough amount of job to their followers who would work for them.
