I always liked Nazimuddin who spanked some Pakistani players for two (or was it one?) sixes like 2 years ago. Yesterday he scored quick ones..four at that..four sixes. Kid's got balls...It's just he needs to have the temperament which he has given us glimpse in the test.

I'd say Kayes must grind for his opener slot.

It was 2 sixes he hit.Nazimuddin could always bat at #3 in ODIs since we still are weak there. In tests, kick Imrul out and have the same lineup that played Pakistan.

I mentioned Nazim could make it over Naeem but he can beat out Alok even easier since Alok hasn't done jack in the DPL.

tamim is regularly failing. Now it's time to drop him. Ik is getting runs, jahurul is getting runs, nazim getting runs so why not drop tamim. Even in today's match tamim scored only 6.

IDK if the selectors have NAzim in mind as an opener for the Asia cup, if Kaedge gets a few good scores i dont see any possibility for Nazim, but I was wondering if he could play at n°3.
Yes,why not? Nazim at 3, Mushy at 4,Sakib-5,Ryad-6,Nasir-7 and then the tail.
ALok,Ash,Rock out of the picture, Naeem too slow for ODIs,better consider him for Tests.

we just can't afford to drop Tamim, I believe that he is just one innings away from getting back his confidence and run scoring habit.

Tamim is not Ash. Ash has always been a really inconsistent batsman and hasn't even averaged 30 in a year whereas Tamim has done it already in 2 seasons. So the comparison shouldn't come up.

Anyways, I agree with Simon bhai that he can be a good #3. He seems to be better then SN in switching gears. And he seems to be able to play well defensively and aggressively. Since Imrul is getting his groove back, we should see if the Tamim/Imrul partnership starts clicking again.

Yep, I agree....but that one inning is much-needed-discipline-followed-by-some-mental-conditioning (where his own demon (arrogance) can be controlled)-followed-by-few-good-domestic-innings away. Otherwise, that one inning will remain as one-off for a while before another one inning-way patch hits him.

I am a big fan of Nazim. It's really good to see him doing well.

i wasn't trying to compare ash and tamim, ofcourse no one can be compared to sir ash! he's a rare kind! but what i have to say is that if we keep playing tamim when he's so out of touch, it can hamper his comfidence to fail consistently. rather he should go back to the domestics or the A team, regain his form and come back to hit every bowler out of the park fearlessly like he used to

Easily a decent knock, would take it anyday. Always thought he needed to get a fair run though many never rated him.

Very good innings. Was unlucky due to a good bowl by the Pakistanis.

Played well until that cut to third man. Was impressed how he was in control of the situation. And what a six.

MashaAllah, SubhanAllah, walHamdulillah His cover drives are amongst the best in the country, they look so scrumptious, crispy and silky smooth!

His spot in the team is not sealed yet, he still has a fair bit of job to do.

i like Nazim but i wanted Imrul to play odi's and not Nazim and Nazim to only play tests. Im happy Nazim proved me wrong in odi's. Who wouldve thought Nazim would start hitting and Tamim would do the blocking?

Didn't get out to a bad choice of shot like most of the others. The execution could obviously have been better, but the shot selection wasn't bad.

He looked much better then SN, Imrul, and Naeem did in the last Pakistan series. What Nazimuddin showed that those 3 couldn't was despite the fact that he started slowly, he didn't just give up his wicket like the other 3 did. Not only that, but he ended up scoring with a good SR but want to see him carrying on.

His timing is exquisite. The cover drive of Gul and then the 4 off Ajmal was sheer timing. The 6 off Gul tops it all. Kayes or SN has timing nowhere near that. Siddiqui has good power too but I am very impressed with Nazim's power and timing.
