Jahanara Alam: A Women Icon of Bangladesh

Jahanara Alam is the captain of Bangladesh women cricket. She born in 1st April 1993 in Khulna. Her father Md Jahangir is the businessman and her mother is a housewife. She is the elder of their five brothers and sisters. She was fond of playing from her childhood. She played different type game like volleyball and basketball. Women cricket was not too much popular when she started cricket. Many peoples of her area discourage her from playing cricket. But her father encouraged her every time. Now the discouraging people become her fan. They arrange special prayer for her in different Mosque when she plays for our national team!

Her carrier
She playing for the national team since 2008. She left her S.S.C exam for cricket. That was Srilanka tore in 2008. She is playing ODI from 2011. That’s year Bangladesh women cricket team get one-day status. She got 16 wickets form her 17th T20 matches and also get 17 wickets from her 25th ODI matches.

About Jahanara:
She is the right-hand batsman and right-arm medium fast bowler. Yes, she is an all-rounder. She likes to lead the team from the front. She is a skilled batsman and when she bowled with her 5 feet 7-inch height it’s become difficult for any batsman to play her. Her wish to rank as an all-rounder. When she make it possible it must bring much success for us.

Her Idol:
Mashrafe Bin Mortoza her idol. She likes his captaincy and bowling. Mashrafe is the main inspiration for her. We hope she also becomes successful like Mashrafe or more. She will take our women cricket in different heights. It is too much possible for her. She is very young and energetic and she believes nothing is impossible. Go ahead Jahanara we all with you, any kind of situation. All the cricket supporter support you every time.

Her Passion:
Her passion is only one cricket. She likes to cover her head with Bangladeshi flag when she bowls. She likes wear jeans and T-shirt. She like to involve with social activity. She spent time with some underprivileged children at a function arranged by Industrial Promotion and Development Company of Bangladesh (IPDC) on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh.

Jahanara and our national women’s cricket team

Women’s cricket is not too much favorite like boys cricket. But we also like our women’s cricketers. We fell proud if they achieve any success. Problem is they do not get enough chance for play. They are not strong enough like other countries cricketers. Not too many girls are involving in crickets. We are hopeful we must be overcome all those problem and reach the success by the powerful captaincy of Jahanara Alam.

Was the article written by a journalist or a fan? So many typos:
- her "carrier"
- "When she make it possible it must bring much success for us."
- "Women’s cricket is not too much favorite like boys cricket."

She seems pretty mediocre, especially if you look at her stats against G9 teams.

Most women do function in the world and go about their daily lives during that time of the month. Just ask your mom.

some of these comments here are terrible. South east boys and men have a lot of respect to learn. I have my own definition of what a perfect woman is for me but in no way am i ever disrespectful to them in general or make comments that are demoralizing or takeaway from what makes them so great. Don't divert the convo

we need more women like her.

Dinraat what kinda stupid questions are these?? Grow up.

This is not funny dude, if you write whatever random thoughts come to your mind without filtering or thinking it makes you look like a creep. You know I like you as a poster but sometimes you post really distasteful stuff.

You would be surprised to know how much strength you can gather with proper vegetarian diet. I can never be a vegetarian though lol.
