ashraful reminds me of this very briliant kid in my class. he was very smart but he never used to pay attention to class or do his homework. therefore even students who were lot less smarter then him used to do better in tests. but once in awhile he used to do very well in test. at teh end of the year his grades were below class average. but he had the intellegent to be at the top of the class. ashraful is like that. he is very talented but also very inconsistant. i have noticed that all of the consistant players in bangladesh teams are the senior players. all these young guys are very inconsistant except maybe masrafee. so maybe when ashraful gets more older he will perform well in regular basis. until then if we have a better performer then we should replace ashraful with him. but the fact is we dont. in ashrafuls good day no player in bangladesh team can match him. but the problem is his good days doesnt come often.

I was expecting a thread like this... as soon as BD screws up a good game some random person starts a whining thread like this to bash a particular player no matter how irrelevant and repititive it is.

Shaoun, i agree with you completely, Hatebreed and Muied have typified examples of the reason why Bangladesh are going wrong...one player does well they start to get a God-like stature, when talk about replacing him when he is playing sh*t becomes taboo. Come on whats in ur head! Think! With any country in the world, you play badly, and hell....you play badly consistently you will be dropped, no individual is bigger than the whole team, look, Hayden for Australia, he is a million times better than Ashraful, but he is now dropped for the ODI against the WOrld XI....now who the hell is Ashraful to have a God-give right against criticism and being dropped?

One piece of advice Hatebreed....this thread was started during the first test, so this isnt after todays debacle, and when a player plays sh*t they are susceptible to criticism, thats bloody natural, so stop calling threads like this whiny and stop whining yourself.

BTW....take notice of Ashraful's yearly avg. before you start thinking criticism becomes whining.

When BD team does well, the fans applaud and celebrate and praise their heroes. And they do it like no one else.

So it is only appropriate that when the team does badly, those players get a lathi on their back.

Lathi Mara Dorkar.

a better analogy may be someone who studies hard but then messes it up in the exam. because he doesnt have the correct attitude or too nervous.

Ashraful reminds of an idiot who had so much opportunity in my class, so much attention from the best teacher, but used to fail all the time. He is no good for BD cricket, and one or two flukes won't help us. If he and his other "buddie" play like this, they will put us number one as a worst team in universe, thus jointly holding the spot as number one country in corruption.

Here is the stat of Ash 2005-2004.
I would like to see him as Brian Lara. However, he has long way to go. His major problem is consistency.
