Default gotta feel for Smith

man...i remember Smith stopped decleration in a BD test match so Mohammad Rafique can get 100 wickets....that was one of the great moment...

today you gotta feel for Smith...unbelievable performance.

i hope they win a wc...

and look at all the pathetic journalists asking qstns like SA are not chokers but jokers...come on man

Graeme Smith has been a great captain for South Africa. He will always have the memory of that 438 game, as well as being the first South African captain to win a test series in Australia. I would say the latter is even bigger than winning the World Cup.

Also, don't forget he remains the South African test captain. He has a very good chance of overtaking Ricky Ponting as the most successful test captain ever.

I dont get why so many supposedly "neutral" cricket fans are gloating and celebrating SA's elimination.
Its not as if they were often unsportsmanlike?

Also, the worst are those BD fans who are thinking that NZ took "revenge" on SA.

Its as if SA did a crime by winning against us.

Partially coz NZ were the underdogs.

And whoever's saying NZ took revenge on SA (including me ), we're just trying to bring BD back to the WC discussion.

Giving up captaincy will be better for him as a batsman. He was chosen as captain when he was young and did extremely well.

Who is going to Captain SA?

AB! AB! AB! AB! Though I do not believe he is a skipper type, but I'd love to see him captain SA team.

^ I think they already decided Johan Botha will take over for ODI and T20, and Smith will continue to be the captain in Test cricket.

This was SA's best ever chance to win a WC; they didn't had any weakness whatsoever except choking....they have only themselves to blame
