Default World cup 2019 Bangladesh Pre-Match Discussion Thread

Put all discussion related to a BD match before it begins here so we don't have to take the trouble of making a new one everytime.

It seems for tomorrow's match vs Ireland we should expect lot of changes, Taskin , Rubel and Mosaddek might get a game according to rumors.

Expecting another win to keep the momentum going 🇧🇩

For all Bangladesh matches from now on , easier to discuss anything and everything related to a BD match, we have been missing the pre match discussions

They might rest Fizz in bowling but not sure who they might want to rest in batting , some of the seniors need time out in the middle

I am baffled..whats the point of taking reza and tashkin? The main point of taking these two was to give the wc bowlers some rest because the wc is a long tournament..if they cant be rested in this match then at what match? Whats the point of free trip to tashkin and reza

Mash has no reason to play today. If anyone needed rest and precaution pre world cup it's him.

I agree what was the point of taking 17/18 member squad if they are not going to give 3 players one match at all even in a Tri series that too in a dead rubber? Waste of plane and hotel fare

This is what happens when the board/selectors and the team mgmt do not communicate properly. This was a dead rubber. Mash should have sat out. Even Shakib. Give it to Dullah and let him run the show.

Feza shouldn't have left BD in the first place since they already had AJ/Rubel/Saif/Fizz/Mash/crybaby. "Not my money, so all good" - attitude.

I thought Reza did well warming the bench in Irish cool weather!

It was for the sake of an image, bringing players they had no intention of playing

Let's hope Shakib recovers from that side strain for the final day after tomorrow, it was so silly to send the seniors in early and expose them to injuries

Whatever happens during the tournament, if this world cup with this format was held in the subcontinent, I'm pretty sure we'll beat Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, West Indies and Sri Lanka pretty comfortably. It's only India and England where games will be closely fought, and hard to predict. So that's why beating either England or India at this world cup will be a huge upset despite the strides we have made in this format.

Both Liton and Soumya look to be in supreme touch. I think we should play both and drop Shakib to number 4. It is a tough call on Mithun but if Liton and Soumya both fires we can build or chase down a huge score.

Liton was scoring Vs Ireland though , but on the flat pitches in England Liton might actually be effective and score quickly as those pitches will protect any weakness of his. But Mithun is a less risky choice at the moment

Picking ld and ss both is harakiri IMHO..these two ticking timebombs should be interchangeable, like pick one for a match and if one fails pick another next match and vice versa..may be this will ignite competition between them as well..

They are flat track bullies and these are flat tracks. I think it is ok.
Both these guys are sweet timers and the ball seems to be really coming on to the bat for them to freely play through the line. I think these pitches suit the likes of soumya liton and shabbir ryad more than what we get home

Liton will be more effective on flat tracks in England imo. Mithun is more ideal on slow pitches in the middle overs.
