On a second thought...
I don't see 300 test or 400 ODI wkt taker in any list. Parnell comes close, Aamer is talented.
Nor do I see 7k run maker in any format barring De Villiers, Duminy, Rohit, Barath, Taylor.

Add Adrian Barath and Darren Bravo to that list.
Shakib and Ashraful have promise, but they seem to have been around too long to be considered young anymore.....In age yes, but not in international experience.

I think this Aameer kid will be something special.
Chota Akmal is also going to say for a while overseeing the slow transition from older players to younger players in Pakistan team.
As they infuse few more young players (in batting), this team will again be so much fun to watch.

Guys, I think our Marshall Ayub (mainly batsman and also leg break bowler) from Bangladesh is a very promising one!

Good topic to discuss i.e. how old is old enough for a cricketer not to be considered as "promising young cricketer".
Even though in real life 27 is pretty young for any other non-sports profession, to me 27 is kind of old to be considered "promising young cricketer".
By 27, the player should be in his pick and by that time we should already seen his ceiling and therefore no "promising" is left.... unless ofcource he started his international career pretty late like some Aus players.
