Default BCB needs a No Vacancy sign

BCB need to put up a no vacancy sing for next one year or so. No more resume for new player will be taken and will not be considered.

I can't believe this. We are going into such an important test with two debutants and one brand new rookie. in test cricket experience is very important and you do not get someone into a team because of one or two practice matches (rahim) or a few good bowling figure in lowly zimbabwe (shahadat) or even out of nowhere (munir).

I got the feeling that they will faint in nervousness in lord's instead of playing, let alone playing the natural game.

Guys, get ready for humiliation and bunch of trash article from all over the places.

Totally agree.

Except, Please let in Shamsur Rahman (the future of BD cricket) before you close the gate.

If experience is so important, then we shouldn't be playing with England anyway....afterall they're playing tests for 100+ years, and we're only 5 years old in Test cricket.

We're not Australia. We don't have a great first XI and don't have huge ammount of good players waiting at home. We should take every chance we can, it can't cause any harm if it doesn't do any good.

If Whatmore didn't have such an awesome track record I would have thought that the ghost of Paki Selectors committee has takent over our selections committee.

Yes "BCB need to put up a no vacancy sign" asap. Otherwise someone like tokai can somehow sneak into BCB Management. And then you know what. Job Security for all the players for next 10 years!!! It will be just like our Government Job!!! Promotion based on employment start date only!!!

I think Faruk has more role in selecting these 12 than Dav.

Its not that bad as it sounds. All the batsmen are in poor form and this kid Rahim has shown skill and temperment. Giving him a chance is not a gamble, worst he can do is perform like seniors are doing now.

Rajib earned his spot. Rookie or not, he deserved to play this test.

The only gamble we are taking is playing Anwar instead of Enamul. We gave up one of our proven best bowler for someone who did good in one practice match. Let us hope this works out. If not, we should see Enamul play in the 2nd test.

before mushfiq came, rajin was an automatic pick. it was same for tapash until rajib and munir came. now players have to perform to keep their spots in the team. its true that we shouldn't pick so many new players every tour, but on the other hand, this trend has started to challenge our players. if they don't perform they will be shown the door.

That's right ......... if they don't perform then they can watch the match but can't play .......... Bad luck for Tapash ...hope Monir comes with few wickets early .........
