They probably want to bowl 1st since Indians are so good at chasing. So they want to get them out to a decent total and then attack their hapless bowling attack.

Shapoor Zadran to Gambhir, 1 leg bye, shortish ball, Gambhir goes for the pull, but he's beaten for pace and is struck on the body, the TV says that was 150.3kph, that figure seems a bit exaggerated though
