Sanga is dangerous against us. So we need to check him. MCG is a big ground so you might see an extra spinner. This will look our tai
l longer than a kangaroo.

Lankans bowling wise: Malinga still is a difficult player to play in the final overs. The rest should be easier to tackle.

Batting wise: Sanga and Jaywardana will be a thorn to our success.

Fortunate, they will feel they got back to form against SCO, so we have a chance to catch them off guard

Sri Lanka is struggling, but so are we. The only reason the Afghans did better against them (than against us) is because they tightened up some lose ends exposed while playing us.

I don't think we are better than SL. BUT, if the tigers can click, they can beat SL/ENG without a doubt. This is our golden opportunity. I sure hope the boys don't screw it up.

Eng bounced back yesterday and SL also won from troubled situation...Unless we stop these nonsense things we are doing at this time rather than playing cricket and give 200%, no point of have unrealistic dream. Senior players have to go beyond to make a good result out of meeting these two. I just don't see it happening with current situation. Hope I get proven wrong.

SL has been in NZ for few months now. In the process, they lost 2 tests, ODI series by 2-4 margin, lost both warm up matches (one against Zim), lost the 1st match in WC, barely won against Afg, and Malinga went from 4 months pregnant to 2 months pregnant body. Yet you still find some positive about them haha..

This is our best time to beat SL. We won't get a better time than this. It's now or never. GO TIGERS

Lol. You guys still think we have a chance this match. Pretty funny. Unless things turn around in two days, we are losing this by a big margin! Players are demotivated, there is unrest at the camp and there is major infighting. Unless there is a way to get over all that pretty soon, I say will be very hard if not impossible to win this one.

Aren't we making the Al-Amin saga a big deal here!? Al-Amin broke the team rule, thus sent home - case closed. Why would our moral go down for this? Why players would be demotivated?

I think our journalists are making this issue into a huge one simply to make news.

It can't be good for the moral, but its not that big a deal either. Given the time they had off, they should be coming to terms with it by now. They are professional athletes, not PMS'ing teenage girls. Grab your pair and get over it. Al-amin was not even being considered for the final 11 of the game against SL from what I read. I don't think it makes a big difference.

Mushy seems to doing fine ..

Coz I know the team, also there have been many examples elsewhere when a news like this hits in a tour and the team definitely loses moral. I really hope it's not the case though.

It would now be a big challenge for Mashrafe to bring that positive vive back in the team ahead of their next challenge against Sri Lanka on February 26 at the MCG.
Quote:
Mashrafe himself too admitted it.
"It was not expected what happened. We were in a good shape after getting three points from two matches and the team mood was fantastic but this incident had unhinged everything. But fortunately we have enough time in our hand before the next game and hopefully everything will be okay very soon," said a dejected Bangladesh captain.
We are lucky to have these extra few days!

I hope they are not over the moon yet by beating afg and getting a point from the Australia game and are focused on the job ahead because it will be really challenging from now on to qualify for the second round

Good start by the tigers in this tournament though let's hope they keep it up

Their bowling didn't look that menacing against the Scots. Also we'll be playing them at Adelaide which is a better batting pitch than Christchurch. Key is to take out Moeen early. Except Moeen nobody looked really solid yesterday.

Since Al Amin hasn't been a regular fixture in our final eleven in recent times I'm hoping the negative impact won't be that bad

They are luckier than us. If both teams had say only two days rest that would've favored us immensely. Don't forget grand dads' bodies take longer to recover.

I understand what you mean and agree with your sentiment, but in absolute terms they're gonna be in a hell lot more trouble soon when the experienced grand dads are gone. Notice how one of them had to dig them out of the hole to win against Afg.

Sangakara loves our bowling. We need to have special plans for Dilshan, Sanga and Jayawardene. These three grandpas can screw us up big time

Srilanka is still probably best Asian LOI team in Australia & New Zealand in last few years. As compared to India, any team will look better but winning those 2 games against this New Zealand squad is still massive achievement where we failed to win a single game.

Winning the toss & batting first will be key at MCG (scoring above 270). Running between the wickets & ground fielding will decide the end result. Strike rotation is another important factor as boundries are rare to come by if you not impact player. (Kohli managed to hit only 8 of them in his century against Pakistan) In my opinion beating Srilanka is comparatively easy than England in these conditions.
