I guess because running between wickets takes full-throttle running, but spin bowling does not.

One thing Zim team disapointed me when Shakib wanted a runner and they denied. Also Price likes to come on to batsman after each ball like Shane Warne.

Was it really convincing? So, technically had we scored below 270, Zimbabwe couldve toppled us. Okay,, so lets relish the win, and enjoy it. But it is obvious,,, Mashrafee/Raj was missing today. Nazmul/Riad/Naeem are not close to what our Pace/Spin masters are... If anything, the team have to find out how to balance the pace attack in absence of Mashrafee...

I've noticed this too. But no1 in BC really has anything good to say about it. I'm not really trying to critice but every1 is too fond of Ashraful and Shakib. Tamim is vertually forgten even though he scored half century in both ODI's.

I am very impressed and proud of the Zimbabwe team as well! They batted impressively!
This Zimbabwe team is indeed a good team and will be challenging us more and more in the next matches! We, BD must work harder and stay focus!!!!

I think Utseya has made a small mistake. He should have given him the runner. The game could have been different, because immidiately after that Shakib went after everything and made it possible for BD to score 320. On that time of him asking for runner it was looking like BD will just get to 280.
So I say a big mistake.

Another good win. Sakib is just unbelievable right now. Tamim is laying a solid platform for the team. I wish Zunaid starts to carry on his starts ( run out today ). Our no.1-6 is doing right now what all other teams do. On a given match, one or two from among them are standing up and score a big one. Good win at the end.
I have no clue why Chigumbura batted at no.9. He is one of the most pure clean hitters of the ball and he always does well against us. Such a big target to chase and you put him at no.9? Zim must play him at no.6 or 7, and take the PP when he is around.

BD should start preparing a balanced team for 2011 World Cup from now on. All players should work hard towards it.

I'm not happy at all with the bowling performance. Looks like BD bowlers were not expecting ZIM to score up to this. Banda was also mentioning this (lol). Shakib's injury is going to be a major concern for Bangladesh team.
Shakib's innings was probably one of the best ODI innigs by any BD batsmen. Tamim bated extremely well. He should have his century. His run out was a very bad display of BD's RBW. BD's RBW is quiet fast except some miscommunications between the batsmen. Need to sorted out this. 4 run outs is huge in a match. Ash batted well. He just got out. It happen in cricket.Rokib bated really good with positive batting from the very begining of his innings. I missed Mash at the death of the innigs. A quick fire at the end would have reach Bangladesh to 350+. Nevertheless great show by Bangladesh.

I'm happy with the win.
It worries me sometimes that what if those simple catches were taken? The outcome could have been different.

He's got a batting average of 25 in 30 odd ODIs against top 8 opposition, Sri Lanka excluded. It seems a bit selective to leave Sri Lanka out of it but he really did have a horror run against them, failing to reach double figures during a whole 5 match series. We'll put it down to a loss of form.
He also averages 29 against us.
His strike rate in both cases must be close to 100.
They're mental if they keep batting him at 9.

tired of celebrating..... winning can be hard at times...... NOT !!!!
well done tigers. Very proud of the batting, not quite so abt the bowling, but if we can get our batting right, we simply double our chances of winning no matter where we play....

Well, today I was at work all through the match, so no #bc-ing from me.
But don't be disappointed, because Orpheus has made some excellent contribution to the chat session today:
