Agree he played good in that one series. But then he got injured multiple times. And that proves he can bowl better. May be we need point brother to become bowling coach again.

I don't understand how multiple injury proves that he can bowl better. Care to explain?

About the NZ series, the wicket was slow and low. This is a major reason for his success during that series. We don't see that type of wickets that ofter.

how many time has mashrafe bin injured? he still remains a top pacer in BD.

what has injury got to do with performance? some players play with unjury! ask broad, swann, shakib et all.. lets not be sissy and accept the fact, guy has hurt bangladesh at crucial times in the pst.

I guess Dillu will be MoM for scoring 1 run more than Tamim here. If it happens then, this should be very dissapointing for Tamim after playing such innings.

Its just frustration talk.
National team isn't the place for "one new bowler per game to see what happens".

Trust me, if it was some unknown pacer doing what Rubel's done today, the same us would be cursing the selectors for not playing experienced players like Rubel.

Atleast Rubel will survive this onslaught, but with that new random dude, you will just kill his career.

And I don't think replacing Rubel will make any difference. It's not like we have Styne. Morkel, Malinga waiting out there. We don't even have Gul or Cheema. We will just have to wait for that avatar to come and rescue us. Don't know how many centuries we will have to wait for that though.

The lack of balanced diet, pacy pitch and healthy life will never let us produce a real fast bowler unless of course the culture is changed. And what's more frustrating is that even a professional organization like BCB is not strict enough to force the players to lead a healthy lifestyle !!

And I knew this was up, and didn't wait for the lights to come back on. I told myself that they'd win by 7-8 wickets. It just seemed too easy after I looked at our bowling attack!

smh

I did fear this. Par score on this pitch, but poor bowling. When your strike bowlers are being outbowled by Zia, you know it's effed up.

Now that Tamim's out, I'd go with:
Jahurul
Anamul
Mahmudullah
Mushfiqur+
Mominul
Nasir
ZIa
Gazi'
Abul
Razzak
Mosharraf Hossain

From the already dreadful squad. Wouldn't have minded someone like Shamsur as replacement to open with Jahurul. No point in going with 2 seamers and Zia, go with Zia and another seamer + 3 spinners.

I want to light up criticism over Mushi's bowling rotation strategy. He simply dissapoint me in this regard once again. Knowing inability to have success with new ball he used opening spell with Abul & Rubel was first mistake. Then None of our part timers were tried properly in between Zia-Gazi spells.
I understand this could be regarded as a bad day and the result against a nation that been world champion in this format is predictable, but seriously 8 wicket defeat in a match defending 238 in 41 overs is simply unacceptable. Especially last few overs, it looks like he completely given up and happy leak run easy to finish the game early. I hold Mushi to be blamed same as Abul-Rubel for this loss.

Even I was unhappy numerous times about the bowling rotation mushy opted with. He more often than not underestimates the part timers and don't bowl them at all. He has started to learn his strength as far as bowling resources is concerned moving away from convention but still leaves a lot to desire for. But I have to say in his favor though, he has got very few options when your front line pacers are as bad as they can get.

We definitely should play Abul and Rubel in the next match because they can bowl phast. We definitely need to play 2 phast bowlers because that is how a team should be constructed.

Fielding also was costly. If Razzak does not drop Perera of Gazi at 63/0, the match might have turned.

No. You got it wrong. Since Rubel was the worse between him and abul so we should replace Rubel for an equally qualified! phast bowler in Shahadat whose grunts are bonus.

Bhai lets get serious, Razzak has to born twice to hold onto one of those catches. It was fast, high and he was running therefore, unbalanced. Expecting him to catch those only makes you naive. This team has quite a batch of regular catch droppers, Abul, Ashraful, Razzak ...
