i dont think (and i hope) that the departure of CR will prove too costly for United and they will still keep the premiership and league cup (atleast).. im sure fergie will make Nani or Valencia the new CR (: ..

As I said give it time. We have dealt with losses of big players before. Right now there are plenty of promising young players in the team. I really like this kid Macheda. I think he's got a lot of potential.

ya i know.. but i think fergie wont need a lot of time.. loss of Tevez is nothing since we have berbatov and got owen... i think fergie can handle the team well enough to make them win the title... even if they cant win it, i wont be too disappointed..

i really like Valencia.. should be a good winger.. i think he would be like giggs rather than Ron..

Defensive mistakes and missed chances kept it from being as enjoyable as I'd have liked and we needed a bit of fortune but I'll take a win for what it is. That said, really we need our defense back to its rock solid state quickly if we expect to play with more confidence up front.

Sensational football by the Red Devils, especially after the harsh sending off of Scholesy. Rooney is really coming into his own since the departure of CR. Congrats to Anderson for finally scoring his first United goal!

Brilliant match against Man City. Three times Man U went ahead, three times Man C equalised. Bellamy equalised for the last time in the 90th minute only for Owen to score in the sixth minute of injury time.

I saw only the second half and MU had the possession three-fourths of the times. Easily the best that MU played this season. Rooney scored the first goal but did very little in the second half - which is a good sign in itself. I was afraid an injury to Rooney would kill the MU challenge.

Michael Owen's winner deep into stoppage time gave Manchester United a dramatic victory in a classic derby encounter at Old Trafford.

Owen, on as a substitute for Dimitar Berbatov, pounced in trademark fashion to beat Manchester City's defiant goalkeeper Shay Given and provoke hugely contrasting emotions in the technical area


United boss Sir Alex Ferguson set off on an impromptu wild dance along the touchline - while City counterpart Mark Hughes immediately demanded to know how the decisive moment of a thrilling game could come almost six minutes into four minutes of stoppage time


Craig Bellamy looked to have earned City an unlikely point as they came from behind for the third time to level only seconds before the end of the 90 minutes.

That was sublime football from the Champions, save the bizzare mistakes from Foster and Ferdinand that basically gifted MC those goals despite United dominating the game, especially the second half. Ryan Giggs was by far the best player on the pitch. He was outstanding; both in his ability to read and dictate the game, which at his age goes to show that class really is parmanent. Owen's clinical finish (also created by Giggs) also solidified why Sir Alex signed him.

Now that I know wth Cricman meant.. according to MOTD-

90 mins + 4 min added time + 56 secs for Bellamy's celebration +30 secs allowed for substitution = 95 min 26 secs

5'26" = 7 min? Exaggerate much?

Owen's goal was scored at 95 mins 27. I guess Sparky's got a case then

a minute extra is nothing.. they always do that when the games are very close or tie.. smitmes it makes a difference.. usually doesnt but Man Utd used it nicely

O'Shea is mobbed by United players after scoring their second goal of the game

He replaced the infuriating Nani early in the second half and swiftly set up a simple opener for Dimitar Berbatov as United finally transformed their domination into tangible rewards.

He then helped settle the match when he sent over a pinpoint free-kick for John O'Shea to head the second with 13 minutes left.

It was only what United merited for their emphatic superiority, which they exerted from start to finish as Stoke's normally whole-hearted approach fizzled out long before the final whistle.

Man Utd 2 - 1 Bolton


United travel to CSKA Moscow on Wednesday and Liverpool on Sunday

Manchester United moved top of the Premier League with a nervy victory over Bolton at Old Trafford.

The champions took an early lead when Michael Owen's header was deflected into his own net by Zat Knight.

After Antonio Valencia lashed home his first goal for United, the hosts looked to be cruise towards the three points.

But Matt Taylor headed in from Kevin Davies' cross and Bolton began to flood forward in search of an equaliser, only to be denied by some dogged defending.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men will be mightily relieved to have secured the win, which was far from convincing but sees them go a point clear of Chelsea after the Blues were beaten at Aston Villa earlier on Saturday.

Arsenal again played beautifull football. Didnt watch MU match as i was watching Arsenal match. ManU now top of the table. Arsenal should be there. They are now one of the entertaining football team of the world and currently playing better football than both MU and Chelsea.
