Looking at most of the line-ups I see that people are choosing Mushy to bat higher up than Nasir and Riyad. This is understandable as this is what Bangladesh have done recently but I would start using a more conventional line-up consisting of 6 batsmen, a WK and then 4 bowlers. I don't think there is anything to gain by having Mushy bat higher as he isn't a significantly better batsmen than either Nasir or Riyad.
Because he has to keep wicket (as well as being the captain) there is extra strain/pressure on Mushy which can have an negative impact on his batting if he does not have sufficient rest after keeping wicket. It seems to me he doesn't convert his starts often enough, this could be due to a lapse of concentration impacted from having to keep wicket for long periods. I think he is more than capable of batting with the tail, and would benefit from having the extra rest by batting a slot or two lower.
I would go with Riyad at 5, as this is his preferred slot in domestic cricket, and then Nasir at 6, who could bat aggressively as the ball should be old by now.

2 pacer is a must. As good as Gazi and Sunny is, I doubt they will trouble the Lankan batsmen as much as they did against West Indies, a side that is known for its weakness against spin. If we had Shakib, the situation would have been a lot easier. But I have a feeling that the Lankans wont have much problems playing our spinners regardless of the surface. Picking 2 pacers is very difficult specially from the current pool. Rubel will be in for sure and I think for me, I prefer SRK. I wish Nazmul was here, his slower deliveries would be useful in these conditions.
My squad,
Tamim
Ash
Ananmul
Mominul
Mushy
Riyad
Nasir
Gazi
Sunny
Shahadat
Rubel
Ideally I would have preferred Ayub over Mominul but Mominul earned his slot from the practice match.

yeah good team, i did want to see how jahurul went at test level but with ash scoring a century i guess you'd have to pick him. i doubt this will be the team though, i expect they'll open with anamul, ash will be at #3. or jahurul will get his chance as one of the top 3 and ash bats in the middle order.

Bangladesh batting spots up for grabs
So, Anamul to sit out for Ash or Mominul?
I have nothing to say

Where did he say that? Just because he praised him, doesn't mean he got selected already. They still haven't made a decision yet.

well both JAhurul and Bijoy are good candidates, so I won't mind who gets picked, although if it was upto me I would pick both & not pick Mominul, just one innings in a WUp against a very weak bowling attack and after that the way Gazi scored I don't like the idea of picking Momin.
Ash who scored a few runs more than Momin also has a wonderful record against Srl, so he makes it comfortably but that doesn't mean I'm confident about him.

He certainly can inspire the team from player's tent!

I don't get why people are feeling so sorry for Marshall. The guy was nowhere on the radar until this year when he scored big runs in our FC competitions. From being out of the radar, he got right in to the Test team. That's a very big leap. In many countries, a lot of big time run scorers end up missing out. Even in our team, Jahurul has found it tough getting chances even after being 1 of the most consistent batsmen in our domestic competitions for many years. Making the national team is hard work and keeping your spot is even harder. I expect Marshall to be very thankful for this oppurtunity and must be working very hard so that he eventually gets picked. If he keeps on performing well in domestics, A team and in the nets, he'll continue to get chances.

I badly want to win this test. Has been feeling dejected over the past few days, (thanx to our deshpremik politicians). A test win MIGHT ease off the heated situation in Bangladesh a bit. We need something to cheer us up now
