As you all know Aussies lost to Spain. Spain is for real, they are the current European champs. Pak drew with NZ 4-4. India lost their second game against England by 2-3. South Africa lost to Holland 0-2. Eng-Korea going on. Korean player got a green card. lol, Not the one that allows you to stay at USA.

Hockey is field hockey, a game of artistry, power, speed, skills etc. Ice Hockey is Ice Hockey with lots of gear and blood.
Spain is almost through. They have the easiest game left against Japan. A win would put them 11 points. That should be good enough. They are the defending European champs. Beat Australia 3-1 and Newzealand 3-1. Drew with Pakistan and argentina(?).
For New Zealand, they must beat Australia to have any chance and pray pakistan loses to Australia. For Australia they must win both against NZ and Pak. For Pakistan they must wait and see who wins between Aus-NZ. Then a draw or a win against Aus would see them through in the semis.
The B group: South Korea is the surprize. If they win against India today and they would be almost there. With India being so weak, England, Holland, Korea and Germany all still have hope of getting into the semis. Germany (host) has the upper hand though.

Australia showed what they are made of. So did pakistan. Australia demolished NZ 7-1, whereas Pakistan lost to Agentina(?). So Spain and Australia have confirmed to place in the semis.
Holland are trying to thrash India. Half time score 4-1. If Korea can draw against Germany then they are through. A Korean loss would put Holland in the semis. Unless Korea beats Germany with 3 goal difference germany is in already.

The Final four has been settled. Who will play who is not settled yet.
Spain, Australia from Pool A and Germany, S. Korea from Pool B have qualified for the semis. If Australia wins the last match against Pakistan then they will play S. Korea. Else they will face the host Germany.
Korea is now the best team in Asia. In their final match they drew with Germany. Great achievement.

Well the World cup ended over the weekend. Germany clinched the Title beating Australia. Spain some how managed to beat S Korea to take the 3rd place. England beat Pakistan to get the 5th place. India got the 11 place beating S Africa. Japan beat Argentina to hold on to the 9th position. Most disapointed finish by a good Holland team who ended at the 7th place.
