The 99: Islam-inspired comic superheroes fight for peace

Cool concept. Each of the 99 superheroes are representative of the 99 attributes of Allah. I've read the free preview (the first issue) ... and it seems really promising. Apparently, joint adventures with Batman and Spiderman and other American superheroes are also in the talks.

Pretty cool, but as an anime/marvel fan, even I find the video a little cheesy

Don't call me a mullah but I don't think it's something to be really happy about for muslims. It doesn't matter if it's from Saudi Arabia. Children shouldn't be interested in Islam just because it's cool & their favourite comic is based on that. That's a tasteless way to islamize everything.

Habib ... I suggest you read the first issue, or even look around the website for info. They aren't "islamizing" the comic ... many of the superheroes are of faiths OTHER than Islam ...

Well, I've just finished looking around the above links. So it's going to be aired in the US. This is a lame attempt to make Islam appear more 'friendly' in the eyes of US children by spreading another wrong impression of Islam.
