ha ha..cynic alert. Cricinfo is going overdrive on the retirement issue. Kiran More compared him to Muhammad Ali. I was astonished by that comment. He was good no doubt, great even, but, to compare him to Ali leaves me scratchin my head..

Hat's off to Kumble. A true gentleman and fighter.

And he will always be remebered for his poking of Mashrafe right before IND-BD match on March 17, 2007.

I never understood that he is spinning or not. But still i think may be he has some skill over the ball. Other wise 600 + is not a funny thing. As a human being he was calm and gentleman. Thats what i liked about him. Enjoy your rest of life.

Nah ..ICL is for Indian discards or non-Indians superstars(if they can rope in some).

Kumble would go with the BCCI and in no time he would be a National selector.Meanwhile he will continue to make some money with the IPL and holding important coaching jobs for the BCCI.And not to forget he is owns a media company related to cricket.Kumble holds an Engg. degree in one of the best colleges in India .A smart guy with a lot of options !

Kumble was a warrior so much respect to him. The greatest slow-bowler India has ever produced and one of the best of all times. As for future career, perhaps he might consider motivational speaking? As Shadrul pointed out - his words of encouragement to Masrafee did wonders for the side in the WC

"When we first came into the Indian team, everybody in India said you [Tendulkar] would break all records. You've done that. Congratulations to you. To me, when I first came, they said you won't last two Test matches. You had the challenge of proving everybody right. I had the challenge of proving everybody wrong."
Guess who commented this?
