Default Your BD A-team

News is that Ireland A-team will land in Dhaka in couple of weeks, for 5 one-days, 2 T20, and one four-day match.

What would be your BD A-tea for the one-day series?

My XI:

Saif
Naim
Shanto
Yasir
Mosaddek (C)
Afif
Akbar
Mahedi
Hasan Mahmud
Shoriful
Ebadot

Bench: Rakibul (SLA), Rishad (Leggie), Hridoy, Parvez Emon, Mugdo, Khaled, Ankon (reserve keeper in the bio-bubble)

Except for Khaled-Ebadot, I would focus on 25 years or younger players for this tour.

Good squad. I'm not sure if Ebadat features in any white ball plans so no point having him in the squad unless its for depth. But we have plenty of depth with pacers for ODI team as it is.

I would like to add Tanzid Hasan Tamim. I know he didn't do well in the last tournament, but a blaster of his type is rare in Bangladesh unless we want a tuk tuk copycat of Tamim senior.

And Rakibul should be in the first XI. Our biggest SLA talent since Enam Jr, and I dare say bigger than him. Can also hold a bat.

Thats a first for me, someone else with an Irish player avatar!

I'm really looking forward to this, almost enjoy A cricket more than senior, get the excitement of talented young players without the media scrutiny or fallout if it goes wrong, and still some good cricket.

We're expecting to send a pretty strong squad, albeit mostly because those who've followed us lately would've seen we have an insanely young senior team now which is extremely refreshing and exciting. Think 7 of the lads who beat England were aged 25 or under.

So a lot of the guys who played Afghanistan will be involved here, Tector, Delany, Campher, Adair, Little, McCollum, Tucker perhaps. May bring a senior fringe player like Porterfield too to keep match fit.

I've heard 17 February is the departure date. Squad was expected last Monday so hope plans are still going ahead.
