Commies saying declaration towards or after tea. The lead is already a bit too much for the Afghans although batting conditions still look decent

If only these batsman would collectively score in two innings in such fashion against proper Test teams. It’s a start though but they need to keep this momentum

Taskin manages to get a wicket. I think Taskin does really well with the new ball. Where is rubbish is when the ball loses its shine

Dont recognise anyone from the Afghanistan team, although dont follow their cricket. The youngster Rashid Khan was rested or maybe injured? Older statements Nabi not Test material.

If we were in Afghanistan's place back in the days we would have thought we would chase this down....

I noticed this too. It can seem incredibly harsh. But the thing with Shamim sir is his stern, tough love approach. Had it been any other team, ANY team...- especially Bangladesh- they would pile on one criticism after another for failure. It's only our luck that Bangladesh is doing well, that is why Shamim sir is all in praises. I am albeit confounded by it because it seems sometimes he is too positive on us.

As the late Kobe Bryant would say after winning a game but not championship:

"Job is not done. Is the job done yet?"

Despite his cringe jokes, limited vocab and obnoxious demeanour , I feel beneath of all of that Shamim has alot of pride when Bangladesh does well. For a decade during the initial period of Bangladesh's Test status , Shamim had been regularly teased by fellow commentators of the country's regular abysmal performances. I think this has moulded him to what he is today. Although I feel he abuses his position when he gets the mic, and to be honest I think at least he should not be allowed to asked to promote any awards at the end of the game.
