Liton should be batting in the top-order long-term. Ideally opening with Tamim. That's where he has made his runs.

Nurul can be explored as the specialist keeper and he also averages 40+ in FC in that lower-middle order position.

This is the Test team I would like to see going forward:
Tamim
Liton
Saif
Mominul
Mushfiq
Shakib
Nurul+
Miraz
Shahid/Shuvashish
Mustafiz
Taskin

Shanto
Nasir
Taijul

The battle has just begun :3...
#BANvsAUS

Bangladesh is playing a test series against Australia after a long long time. I should be really, really excited. But for some strange reason I am not feeling excited at all,not so sure why.

How much rain we gonna get on the first day?

Anyone who's close to the ground, give us a report.

I want to stay up and watch, but if there is rain...I might not.

It rained in the afternoon today for around half an hour but sunny all day. I guess tomorrow will be the same. There would be if any intermittent rain but I do not think we will lose many overs.

Mushfiqur will most likely keep, leaving out liton. A bad tactic.

Nasir does appear to be in the final eleven.

Tamim will score a century.
Mushfiq will make some runs.
Rest will contribute a little.

All our pacers will be useless and we will lose by an innings.

This is apparently history:

Quote:
Mitchell Johnson's entire Test career of 313 wickets; 611 of the 617 Twenty20 internationals that have ever been played; every tweet ever... These are just some of the things that have happened since Australia and Bangladesh last played each other in Test cricket. That's right: when they last met in 2006, Twitter had not even been launched. We might as well be talking about the #darkages. Such has been the reluctance of Australia to schedule Tests against Bangladesh, it has now been 11 years since their last series, when Jason Gillespie made the unlikeliest double-century in Test history.

It's really difficult to predict this series. Bangladesh haven't played since the Champions Trophy, and they will be rusty no doubt. It would have also been nice to see an ODI series between the sides at home. Shakib only needs a five wicket haul against the Aussies to complete his haul collections: this is the series where Shakib should give it his all as an all-rounder since it's unlikely he will ever get to play Australia again. It will be interesting to see how the Fizz performs especially on our pitches. I hope Mominul gets to play as he is statistically our best batsman. Sarker has performed well in tests, so you cannot just drop him now that Imrul is fit. Imrul has also performed, so it makes sense to have him at #3 position. Middle-order looks very solid. Bowling attack will seriously test these Australian batsman especially Steven Smith. No need for Taskin in this test series as Australia will prefer to face pace over spin anyday of the week.

No test team should have had this gap.

The max years should be 5

Just under 5 hours left until first ball. First session will be important.

Well, I can't blame you...being an Aussie supporter!

Who enjoys a 0-2 defeat anyway!!

I hope Taskin gets picked ahead of Shafiul. Taskin, Fizz, Miraz, Taijul and Shak should be the 5 bowlers
