wiseshah,

there was nothing personal. As you have mentioned, "this is the only way we can find some hope, some light and mental peace", my frustration comes from this attitude. You are quite an old member in BC and you must know that this apparent peace (?) of mind does not help cricket. If there is a failure, one must investigate the reason behind that failure and face it straight-forwardly. The attitude of changing and chopping, making a few players the escape goat, does not help.

I would not ger frustrated, if these threads come from some new members of BC. But when I see that attitude from an old member, I get frustrated, because some of my people do never learn.

tbf the recent matches have been test matches (and the discussion about how to fix the test team has gone on in other threads) and this thread is about the ODI team where riyad and rasel have been regulars recently and naeem for the last couple of series has been a regular so the only major change wiseshah has suggested is bringing in shuvo which was pretty much a forced change due to the razzak situation.

Had Baundele not mentioned it, I was about to mention it. The way you open your XI threads after every heavy defeat or soon after the end of a series is simply ridiculous. This your XI threads are kinda useless when everyone posts the names of their XI. Whose going to read the names of players in again and again? The sort of thread is useful only when members like Gowza, RazabQ, Beamer, Miraz et el express their constructive views. But opening such thread soon after a drubbing prevent people from expressing their views, because normally the moral and enthusiasm of the fans remain low. Of course are some exception, like you.

Rasel and Razzak are two big losses to the ODI side.

BD has to win against Zim, if they are to stifle their critics bad mouthing. I saw the games between SL and Zim and they are no pushovers, would not be surprised if they pull off surprise victories against BD and SL. They were beaten by pakistan and WI. Seems that only Pak, SL, WI and BD are playing cricket with them. It is a pity they had to withdraw from the world 20/20 because of politics.
Is Zim still a full member of the ICC?

not quiet sure, u r upset with the BD team or with me.
I just expressed my opinion which team I wanna see to play against Zimbabwe and SL and wanted to see others opinion and again, Some players in our BD team are only considered as test player and some are simply ODI specialist.
rasel is out due to injury, razzaq is out due to his bowling action. nayeem just recovered from injury, rajin is not being considered for ODI in recent days, Imrul's performance was not satisfactory in recent days, enam JR played his last test in 4 yrs ago, shahadat seems out of form in both version of game, several regular players are out of consideration due to ICL saga.so obviously, everybody is kinda anxious and worried about who will appear in main XI or main XV. I checked cric info every 10 min, if there is any news about team selection.
anyway, we are not an winning team like australia or srilanka or SAF, so our every series will have atleast few addition and subtraction due to condition.

so what do u suggest: should we stop open thread about predicting main XI?

i think what they're saying is give it a bit of time after a defeat before opening a selection thread. as for the team, imo 12 spots should be pretty set for the ODI squad, the rest could change from series to series but imo there are 12 specific names who currently should be focused on for the future in the national team (the other prospects either take one of the extra spots or develop in the other levels until ready), not all of them made the current squad though.

Can't We Use Shahadat & Rasel Together? I Think If Our Captain (Ash) Can Use Them Properly, It will be a Nice Combination of Bowling Attack.

Shahadat has already been dropped and given a rest and Rasel is injured, might be OK for the Pak series. Have heard no mention of Razzak, if he has corrected his bowling action so that he can get back into the team.

He is just training in the nets at moment with the team, but he is remodelling his action.
