What on Earth is wrong with our batsman. They are not willing to stay in the wicket and give themselves a chance. If we were 200/3 or 200/4 in 40 overs that is still an excellent position from which to launch given we have set batsman in the crease. If there are 2 middle order batsman till the end, the team will automatically score 275+.
But today, 4 of our top 8 batsman got out playing the ball in the air.

If it weren't for Afghanistan being so poor we shouldve lost the last game and been knocked over for 160 odd today.
Tamim SS Riyad and Mushy are the culprits. 250 track can't defend 40 less than that with a bowling attack as toothless as it is.
Drop Rubel, Taijul and SS.
TI, Kayes, Riyad, Mushy, Shakib, Sabbir, Mossadek, Nasir, Mash, Al Amin, Taskin

We can't rely on Mushy's keeping ability anymore. Had he not missed the stumping opportunity, the game could have been in our favor. No doubt, we had a poor show with batting. But when we are defending a total like this, we can't afford an error like Mushy did.

Taijul has been totally ineffective. I've watched all his deliveries. Rarely caused any batsmen any discomfort and has become a finger roller as opposed to the serious RPM he gave.
Rubel is clearly rusty. He's back to bowling his short and wide tripe and w/o radar gun, I'd say missing a good 10KMPH of pace - he was at best in the 130s.
Our batters are guilty of not figuring out what kind of pitch it was - shelf the cross bat shots and selectively go for big hits DOWN the ground.
Afghanistan won fair and square - and on this form, England will murder us.
Finally - please can we have someone keep other than Mushy please? Tired of his drops and chokes.

Selecting Mosaddek in the playing XI was a good move, but he should have come at 3 (logically as imrul's replacement). Also, Mahmudullah never plays well at 3, though he is a beast at 4.
Reasons for our loss :
a) Stupid batting order
b) Mushfique's missed stumping chance
c) Al-Amin's curse
Playing XI for 3rd ODI
1)Tamim 2) KaEdge 3)Mosaddek 4) Mahmudullah 5) Sakib 6) Mushfiq 7) Sabbir 8) Nasir 9) Mashrafe 10) Taskin 11) Al-Amin

Taijul and Rubel should be dropped for the next match. We should take Nasir and Shafiul. Another thing, the way Saikat plays, we should try him in the 1-down position. No excuse for the top 4 batsmen giving it away after getting set on the crease. The lineup should be:
Tamim
Soumya
Saikat
Riyad
Kathal (w)
Shakib
Roman
Nasir
Mash (c)
Taskin
Shafiul

Must say that looks like a solid team. I'd add Sunny instead of TAskin. Nasir makes the team looks more balanced, I would bat nasir ahead of Sabbir maybe even at #5

Sunny is not in the 20-man ODI pool, hence he could not be called up. Sakib will never give up his batting position (#5) to anyone else. Ideally I would like Mahmudullah-Mushfiq-Sakib as 4-5-6 (as bhaira-bhai bat well together) and thensabbir or Nasir at 7.

Taijul was economical but not threatning and England will smash him for 70odd. Not a LOI bowler if your looking for an wicket taking proper spining spinner. The areas he bowls are not bad but it's good for test not LO!

I doubt Mossadek can hold up against the new ball he bats down the order in domestics..Swap with Sabbir makes more sense to me Sabbir is lost down the order does well at 3.

Soumya is a special player , but he is terribly out for form. (Just have look at his domestic record for last 9 to 12 months). I'll get him back in the ODI team (only) as soon as he starts scoring runs at domestic level.
Sabbir is another player who has not performed in ODIs for a long time !
Yeah, I hate to admit that Imrul is the solution for the time being.

Have to give him credit. Afghans came this series well prepared, with good plans how to handle our players.

Both openers played poor shots to get out. Tamim is just recovering from injury then why not sit him out of the series and play kayes or Anamul?
We are messing about with Mahmdullah too much! Need to give him his fav spot! Heck mullah is evem better down at 7 his our t20 finisher! Mullah won games down there many times as he knows what's required of him, down the order! And I don't think mullah mentally likes it in the top end even though he has good success at 4

Our batters have totally misread the wicket, this was not a 280-300 wicket but more like 240-250.
Tamim,SS, Mushy got out trying to accelerate when they had to push and knudge/nudge, rotate the strike, put bad balls away for 4, keep wickets in hand and reach 250 comfortably.
We need better strategy next time and hope for some brilliant individual scores/bowling.

Looks like Mushy - as many people like to call him showing additional affection which also brings a wry smile to my face every time I see this nick - not only misread the wicket, constantly misreads the ball behind stumps. We have been playing without a keeper for a long time now many a match. With a below par total a 10 man fielding unit cannot do much.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan have played each other four times in ODIs. Each has won two matches. Afghanistan have now defeated Bangladesh twice in Bangladesh. The pressure is on Bangladesh for next game.
